Intro

Juliland is home to legendary photographer and director Richard Avery, who also promises "exclusive audio and video interviews with today's top talent and celebrities. I haven't seen this site before, but based on the look of the tour I'm excited to get inside! Clearly Avery is one photographer with an alternative eye for what's hot & sexy. The "adult playground" promises high quality photos and videos of more than 108 models (27,000 pics/525 videos). Clearly there is a lot to see, plenty of extras and new content is added often.

The Pros

Exclusive, Unique Photography & Videos.

Richard Avery clearly has his own unique style. The content here features really attractive babes in high contrast, artistic photography & video scenes. Expect to see unique lingerie, colorful settings, dramatic makeup and even great girl-girl & fetishes offered; we're talking latex, stockings, hardcore attitudes, waterplay, and other forms of artistic expression. While the content may be colorful, some of the mood here is dark & erotically unique - I loved it! It was especially great to see how Avery's work has evolved since the beginning of the site in 2004.

Super High Quality Content.

Throughout the archives you'll find image sizing up to 1500p. While I'd love to see them go even higher, the quality is tops. You won't find out of focus shots that should have been edited out like you may see on other sites. Likewise the videos here look tops with latest scenes offered in HD format. They're MOV files with super sharp picture & color quality.

Smooth Site Design.

The design here is professional and offers some nice features like a model index, separation of pics and videos, a search feature, favorites folder & user rating. Images are offered in 3 size formats with ZIPs for each and the videos can be streamed or downloaded as M4V or MOV files.

Other Good Stuff:

The blog and podcasts are very interesting and provide some insight into the shoots and the site in general.
Updates often. This last week alone 3 new image galleries and 2 new videos were added.
Some models have lengthy bios.

The Cons

Older Video Quality is Not as Good.

The oldest videos here were added in 2004 so it's easy to see why the quality may not be up to par compared to today's shoots. These videos offer bitrates around 800k and even though the quality was clearly good for then, the sizing is quite small and they're definitely showing their age.

No Scene Info Provided or Tags.

While this is clearly some unique & exclusive material, the lack of scene info is a disappointment. Tags and content categories would also be helpful to give users additional ways to browse the material and find desired specifics.

Minor Negatives:

No way to browse the models/content by specifics.
Image sizing could still be larger.

Bottom Line

Awesomely dramatic & artistic photography in a HQ collection.

Looking back on past reviews its clear that Juliland has continued to improve its site to give users the best experience possible. Quality is looking amazing these days even though I'd love to see even larger image sizing offered, it all looks great! I especially love the dramatic mood of the content itself, the lengthy model bios (for the girls that have them) and decent update schedule. What I'd really love to see is some scene info, tags and categories offered to give users additional ways to browse the material. For an alternative photography site offering quality exclusive content, Juliland is definitely worth a look.
