Intro

Tyler's Room is a gay supersite that is also grounded in solo guy Tyler who does have content and a blog available. Really though this is an all encompassing gay site that incorporates a good amount of exclusive content, tons of additional non-original videos/photos hosted right on the site, and 3rd party material as well. The site has been around for over a decade and the membership is a straightforward $19.95/mo. The tour layout mirrors that of what members see so a few minutes of browsing around will give you a good feel for the scope of the content.

The Pros

Huge Gay Site, Some Exclusive Content, All Types of Action.

Quantity is the main thing that stands out at Tyler's Room as they incorporate exclusive videos, non-exclusive movies/DVDs hosted on this site, and all sorts of 3rd party material. The originals are several hundred video scenes of hardcore and solo action. These have photo sets accompanying them too. Downloadable non-original DVD movies make up an even larger collection than the originals and again they work in all sorts of hardcore and solo action. On top of that there's a ton of 3rd party content.

Full-Video Downloads, HD Newer Videos, Photo Gallery Zips.

The originals are available in WMV, MPG, and FLV for downloading with the newer additions having full HD levels that are impressive at 9000k 1920x1080. A 'Downloads' section is where the hardcore DVD scenes are housed and there you'll find any combo of WMV/MPG, or MP4 to save them to your computer. Photo galleries, both original and non-original, have online images and also zip files.

Well Organized Site, Log of Updates with Lots of Items.

Tyler's Room has a lot to keep organized and they do a good job of it. I like that they have the exclusive stuff clearly in its own section and then they're totally up front about the inclusion and featuring of 3rd party content and feeds. Considering the massive number of items in the mix they make it easy to get around and tabs/sections usually open in new browser windows which means the main menu always stays open and I found that helpful.

Other Good Stuff:

In-browser Flash streaming is available on the original and non-original videos. It loads in a couple seconds and allows for immediate jumping ahead.
Tyler does have a blog, bio, and photo albums if you go to the 'About' tab then click on 'Tyler'. This section is the counter balance to the supersite style of the content. There is also a forum with regular posts/topics.

The Cons

Exclusive Content is in the Minority, No Dates on Those Scenes.

With this site being around for over a decade I would think the originals section would be larger than about three hundred scenes. There aren't any update details on that stuff so it's tough to know how often they're putting new ones online. Overall the extra non-original content dwarfs the exclusive stuff so the Tyler and exclusive angle is a nice for them to have but it's certainly not what dominates here.

Video & Photo Quality Varies, Lesser Formats on Older Videos.

The HD level videos are very few in number and the bulk of the original and non-originals videos have more average to low specs/quality. Options drop off back in the non-original section to where many only have the low quality MP4 or in-browser Flash streaming. Considering how high the newer HD specs are the blurriness of the older scenes is quite a noticeable difference. Photo size also varies throughout the collection.

Minor Negatives:

When opening individual video scene pages the Flash streaming always starts playing which can get a little annoying if you're just looking for the download links.
Most of the updates are for non-original or 3rd party items which includes feeds, etc.

The other

Included among the 3rd party content is a section of Porn 2 Go for mobile users. There are dozens of content items there.

Bottom Line

This all encompassing gay site has a few hundred exclusive scenes to go along with a massive amount of non-original content.

For a site that relies heavily on non-exclusive and 3rd party content Tyler's Room works well. they have the exclusive material in place which is the centerpiece of the site and then all the extra stuff is almost overwhelming so they don't skimp at all on that. Because it is a mixed bag that does lead to varying quality/options ranging from the high-def original videos to lower quality older stuff. Overall though for the reasonable monthly price they have they do give you a lot for the money.
