Intro

Bad Puppy is the home of thousands of jocks, twinks, hunks, amateurs and male babes in hardcore XXX, gay content. This is just a massive site, and actually, your $19.95 monthly membership here also gives you access to another 31 sites within the Puppy Pass Network. On its own Bad Puppy houses over 1,861 models (639 of which have videos) in image galleries and 63 additional studio films with bonus galleries, sites, and lots more. I don't know if everything or anything here is exclusive, but there is definitely a wide variety of original content to check out and updates seem to be added to the member's area often.

The Pros

Large Collection Of Gay Content.

They've got a massive collection of content. There are currently 1,861 models, each with at least a hundred photos. That's over 180,000 pictures in addition to around 639 model videos and tons of bonus videos too. Much of it is original, though I'm not sure 100% of it is exclusive. Aside from their own content, they provide access to dozens of other gay sites and feed sites, along with live sex sites and ezines. Then there are the webcams and stories. It will take you a long, long time to make it through their entire collection.

Community Set-Up & Design.

The site has a nice sense of community. You can really get to know your fellow members. To begin with, there's a forum that is pretty active with members chatting about the site and life in general. There's a section of member profiles where you can view how long someone has been a member and when and how often they post. Users can rate and leave comments on the models, as well, letting you in on what others are thinking about your favorite Bad Puppy. You can even pick and choose different sections from the site to create your own member's area design/experience.

Model Index With Bios.

The best way to browse the true Bad Puppy content is be model. The model list houses all of the original Bad Puppy content in chronological or alphabetical order. You can also browse by categorical specifics using the drop-down search menu here. All current 1,861 models offer an image gallery and 639 of them have a video. Each model has bio information, user content and ratings.

Other Good Stuff:

New models are added every 2-3 days. Further site content from other areas (community, bonus, non-exclusives, etc.) are updated multiple times daily.
Users can set their resolution choice for image sets, up to 1280x960 pixels. Not all sets go quite that high, but most of the newer sets do.
Newest content quality is looking good. The videos are veering towards average with their 1100k bitrates (720x480), but the picture quality still looks okay at this point. Image quality is mostly fine as well.

The Cons

The Set-Up Of Bonus Content Mixed With Original Content Is Confusing.

Since our initial review back in 2006 there has been enough of a re-design to make the member's area pages look nice. However, it still took me forever to figure out which parts of this site actually offer the Bad Puppy Content. Once I got the ball rolling I was okay, but the pages are so packed with this and that without any clear distinction on what's bonus, feeds or exclusive. There is an advanced search feature, but you almost need an advanced search feature to find it! And the mish mash of feeds, poor quality bonus content, personals and up-sells for live cam sites is offputting.

Content Quality Varies And Depends On Age.

Content quality and viewing options, especially the pictures, have improved over time. Heading deeper into the archives does bring up more average and below average looking stuff. Altogether though, quality could be stepped up a notch to offer even larger image formats and something closer to HD quality videos.

Minor Negatives:

During my visit, I had pretty good luck with download speeds while using my Download Manager, but without it the download speeds were painfully slow.
No Flash streams available. Sometimes you will see a Flash logo, but clicking on it takes you to a separate site. Older video content doesn't offer full-length file downloads.

Bottom Line

A gay mega-site for users looking for quantity, bonuses and community.

This is a mega-huge site with content, content and more content as well as bonus content, multi-site access, feeds and more. The design is no longer what's holding them back, but it's still a lot to get the hang of. While there are some nice viewing options for the images, as well as for some of the videos (no full-length downloads for all videos), navigating the site is a daunting task made easier with the help of a few added user features. There is a lot of non-exclusive content to check out too, but the quality of it varies so I'd stick to their main list of models right off the bat. In the end I can't say I was fully impressed by Bad Puppy, but there sure is a lot of content to go around here.
