Intro

Cosmid.net has a title that doesn't really tell you anything about the site concept but what they do feature here is an original photography and video collection of softcore amateur content. The models are a mix of American, British, and a few other Europeans from places like the Czech Republic. The guest tour has a write-up which will let you know what their concept is about and along with that there are some nice content sample to give you a feel for the models and style.

The Pros

Exclusive Amateur Softcore Pictures/Videos, US & UK Models.

This is a solid collection in terms of both quantity and style. There are hundreds of video scenes and a couple hundred total models each of whom has a handful of photo galleries too. The style is softcore with topless, non-nude, and teasing content. They also work in some variations like interview and chatting. The gills are a nice mix of US and British girls with most being 20-something and cute/sexy.

HD Quality Videos, WMV Downloads & Flash Streaming.

The video options include WMV files for downloading and Flash for in-browser streaming. The WMV are consistently high at 3000k 1280x720 throughout the collection which is a nice feature for them to offer. Download speeds were solid for me as they were for our past TBP reviewer so it doesn't take too long to save these 100-300MB files. Speeds I was getting were around 900KB-1MB/sec and my download manger (IDM) also worked well.

Sharp Site Design & Daily Content Updates.

The design has a sharp and professional feel to it with a model index section and a chronological listing of the updates. Additions are made daily and they have a nice track record. A coming soon section highlights upcoming models. From the design I particularly like the member comments which have matching text with the rest of the site and really blend with the layout. They're well integrated and don't stand out as an add-on at all.

Other Good Stuff:

There is a Cosmid blog that is updated usually several times per month. The posts contain info about shoots, locations, and upcoming models.
The monthly price has been kept pretty low. It's a flat $20 monthly recurring or 3-month $60 non-recurring.

The Cons

Just One Video Download Format & Quality, No File Size Info.

While the WMV video files make for a solid foundation that's the one and only option for downloading these movies. Also no additional quality level choices are available and they don't publish file size details on the movies. More options would make things more user-friendly.

No Photo Gallery Zip Files Available.

This the type of collection where you'd expect to find zip downloads and it hurts that they aren't available. There is a user comment here on TBP about this and apparently they used to offer zips but no longer do because of the content being posted elsewhere. That's understandable but from a member's perspective most other sites in this genre do offer zips so it jumps out at you that they're not available here.

Minor Negatives:

The content style is very softcore with a mix of topless nudity and non-nude shoots. Some models don't have any nudity available. I also ran into a number of models with only photos and no video scenes.
When you open a video shoot page the Flash streaming always starts playing right away. This can get a little annoying if you're just looking for the download links.

The other

Membership billing is done through CCBill which should be familar to most userss and makes things pretty straightforward.

Bottom Line

Exclusive amatuer photography/videos with HD movies & a focus on very softcore content.

Cosmid's main strength is that it has a nice amount of content including a well balanced mix of photos and videos. The high-def videos and mix of US and Euro models are nice touches as well. For this type of site the download options are more limited than you'd expect for both the photos and videos. Also its good idea to note the style is quite softcore with topless, teasing, and non-nude featured and they don't really push things beyond that.
