Intro

With a site name like BlakeMason.com, my first assumption was that we would be looking at a solo dude gay site. That, however, is not the case. Blake and Mason are actually the last names of the two British guys who run the site, Jason and Adam respectively. They created the site to provide "100% original films featuring the best amateur british men" their country has to offer. Jason and Adam actually don't appear in front of the camera at all. Instead you'll find a collection of fit, young men between the ages of 18 and 30. I'd call some of the models twinks, some studs, and most your typical hot college guy. Interestingly, not all of the models are gay. There are quite a few straight guys posing solo, including my favorite, a Mr. Johnny B. Clearly this site was not at all what I was expecting.

The Pros

Large collection!

There are currently 455 videos on Blake Mason. They have material dating back to 2005 and in that time they've managed to put together a really great-sized collection with a nice variety of models and a good mix of hardcore and solo action.

Exclusive content.

Everything on Blake Mason is exclusive. They shoot all scenes themselves and are constantly on the look out for fresh new models. This is an all-original collection of British amateur men who just want to have a good time.

High quality videos.

Blake Mason made the move to high definition videos in 2008 but quality has always been high here. The latest flicks play at 5000k and are 1280x720 in size. They're super-sharp and very professional-looking. When you go back to the older scenes you'll find closer to 2000k and 960x540. They're not HD, but they still look quite good.

Great search tool.

They've got a really nice feature for searching the content. You can select from multiple search features to find whatever combination of body type, age, cock size, body hair, location, or action (nipple play, rimming, lube, or wild positions) you like. This is a great way to find exactly what you're looking for in a site as large as this.

Other Good Stuff:

Good video viewing options. Newest scenes have WMV and MP4 with four quality settings and Flash with three quality settings.
Updates come often. A new scene is added to the site every Thursday and Sunday, keeping the site growing at a great pace.
Plenty of scene and model info. Each scene has a length description and all files have sizes and dimensions provided. Each model has a profile page so you can read all about these hotties.
Quick downloads! Using the browser I got speeds of 4.0mbps while using a download manager the videos cam in at 6.2mbps. No waiting needed for these scenes!

The Cons

No photos, just vidcaps.

Each scene includes vidcaps but no actual digital photos. They look pretty good as far as vidcaps go, and they're even offered in a zip file, but they're still just vidcaps.

Not all scenes offer all options.

As I mentioned above, they only made the switch to HD in 2008 so none of the content added prior to then has an HD option (and that's the vast majority of scenes). Also, they only recently added the Flash option. They've been going back through the titles and adding it to older scenes, however, and they report that this task should be completed within the next two months.

Minor Negatives:

I'd love to see an alphabetical model index. It would be nice to be able to browse the guys by headshot.

Bottom Line

Everything from the high quality videos to the user-friendly site made me a fan.

Blake Mason is a high quality site that delivers everything you would hope for, things like exclusive content, high definition video, a user-friendly site, and a large collection. The price is right on target, at $29 recurring at $23 a month. My complaints were really quite minor. If you're a fan of young amateur men, particularly British men, then Blake Mason is a real treat that you should definitely check out.
