Intro

Jane Burgess is up for review today, and this is a solo site based around what I'd call an amateur to semi-pro model. She mostly runs an amateur site here, with probably a husband or boyfriend shooting a majority of the content. However, she's also done some shooting with Hustler in the past, and has modeled in one form or another for 12 years. Her site features a wide range of solo material, from toys to bondage, and also has some girl/girl and hardcore action here and there. $25 a month gets you in the door, which isn't bad, but I definitely miss the days of the $20 solo sites.

The Pros

New video quality is looking pretty nice.

About halfway through her collection, she switched to a widescreen 1080p HD format for the videos, and they look very nice overall. They don't have a professional feel to them, with lighting that varies a bit here and there, but the actual video quality is pretty good overall. It was a nice surprise to see these specs here.

Other Good Stuff:

Of course, just as you'd expect, the content is 100% exclusive here from what I can tell. I think it's mostly shot by the couple themselves.
There's some interaction going on here, though it still could be beefed up a bit. Her blog gets about one long post a month, but is available to everyone (including non-members), so it deals a lot with trying to advertise what's inside. She also has two cam shows a week supposedly, though there's no actual May, 2011 schedule that I could find to verify they're actually happening.

The Cons

Navigation needs some work.

The site definitely feels pretty amateur through and through. The layout for the site just isn't great in my opinion. The long gallery menus in a frame make for a ton of scrolling, and once you choose a gallery or video, the whole thing resets on the left so you lose your place. It's incredibly annoying. There's a little categorization when you first choose the gallery you want to view, but there's no category filter, or search feature here to help you narrow the content down easily and quickly.

Still needs some growth.

I'm guessing there's around 300 photo sets, though I'm not 100% sure (there could be more, but that would mean each one is smaller). That number isn't too bad, though I would have expected a lot of them if she's been modeling as long as she has. The video count is just under 100, which was very disappointing to see overall.

Updates seem to be on the slow side.

Nothing is really dated here, though her main member's page does show the last update. At this point, it was about a month ago, which is unfortunate. I'd need to see at least weekly updates and cam shows here to feel mildly satisfied. If she really wants to impress, those numbers would need to go up even higher each week.

Minor Negatives:

Though they have an in-browser video available here, it's not an actual streaming video. You can only jump ahead so far as you've actually downloaded, instead of being able to jump around right away.
In addition to the navigation woes I mentioned, you can easily bounce in and out of the member's area here without realizing it. Some links just lead you to free areas, and then you have to backtrack your way back inside. It's annoying.
I ran into quite a few video download links that were 404 errors unfortunately. Some would work, and then a random HD or Quicktime version would just be missing completely.

Bottom Line

There are a few nice things going on here, but I'd love to see more content, updates, and a new layout.

Jane Burgess provides some okay content here, and some decent interaction. The scenes look pretty good these days while still retaining an amateur feel to them. Where she lacks is in updates, which seem quite slow, and that also trickles down to other areas of the sites (her blog, and maybe cam shows?) that don't seem as active as I'd like. She also has a smaller collection than I was expecting for how long she's been doing this, especially in the video department. The layout isn't the best either with some awkward quirks that get in the way for sure. I think there are some fun scenes here, and you'll have a decent time, but it would be so much better if the site felt full of energy in all areas.
