Intro

With Private Classics we are going retro since this site features an archive from the Swedish porn magazine Private with issues and galleries from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. The content consists entirely of images and magazine pages from the issues organized by issue number. You can get a bit of a flavor for their style from the guest tour samples. There is a small section dedicated to their more recent publications from the 90's including Pirate, Triple X, and Sex however the bulk of things run from the three previous decades and that is clearly where the core of the content is at.

The Pros

Vintage Private Magazine/Picture Archive from 1960s, 70s, & 80s.

What stands out about the content here is that is a unique collection from Private with their magazine issues from the 1960's thru 80's (with some additional 'bonus' items from the more recent decades. Vintage classic porn drips from this content and they have separated out the photo galleries and the actual pages from the magazines themselves. Issues are numbered plus they show you the year and the sets include solo along with hardcore sets.

Large Oversized Images, Medium Level Too, Zip File Downloads.

Since photos make up the totality of the content the options and quality levels are important to examine. Considering this stuff is from decades back I am impressed by the quality as they have images that reach up to huge 3200x2200 with others being more like 1000x680. The sharpness is okay as they are professional images but do have a somewhat grainy feel that you'd expect. Images can be viewed online or saved in zip files.

Other Good Stuff:

Navigation/organization is straightforward with Private Classics 60's, 70's, 80's, and extras (90's to 2000's) sections. There is also a drop-down box to jump to any issue.
The section of 'Private Classics Extras' includes about a half-dozen issues from the 90's and beyond with Pirate, Triple X, and Sex magazines.

The Cons

Not a Large Collection of Content, Update Details are Sparse.

At the time of this review Private Classics is a newer site that hasn't been online but for a couple of months. There are over four dozen magazine issues which makes for only a small to average amount of content. It'll be ineteresting to see where the site goes from as the webmaster verifies they are updating three times per week however there aren't any specific dates on the items. Instead there is just a 'Recent Updates' section with all the latest additions.

No Video Content, Just a Collection of Photo Galleries.

Having reviewed other magazine publication sites the archives are definitely make for a nice centerpiece however some surfers might want to have some sort of video content available. Even if it wasn't vintage stuff Private does have other sites with videos so some sort of that content or bonus site access would have really helped here. Just the magazine stuff seems a bit limited.

Minor Negatives:

There are some advertising upsells in the member's are afor things like a shop, live cams, dating, and other paysites.
The zip files are only offered in one quality level. Since this is a dedicated photo collection I would have liked to have seen 2 or 3 options on the zips.

Classic 1960's, 70's, & 80's magazine archives & galleries from the Swedish publication 'Private'.

Private Classics delivers a tidy archive of this magazine's publication from the golden age of porn in the 1960's thru 80's. I'm glad they have very large images on some of the galleries and the zips are also a key positive. There is room for the site to offer more as they don't have any video content and the update schedule doesn't provide any specific dates. As it currently stands it consists of the smallish mag archive collection alone.
