Intro

Defiant Boyz is a hardcore and solo gay video site with quite a lot of downloadable video scenes available. The site has been around for a few years and they've put together quite an archive with regular updates. The site is part of the CJ XXX network so membership includes the half-dozen or so other company sites all of which are gay niche focused. Defiant Boyz' concept hits on skater type guys so they do fit into the 18-20-something age range. The 'models' and 'video's page sample on the guest tour will give you a good look at the type of guys and scenes that are available to members.

The Pros

Exclusive Solo Guy, Hardcore, & Interview Video Scenes.

The star of the show here is the content itself which is all video focused. The action is well rounded with a lot of solo guy and guy/guy masturbation plus there is some full on hardcore banging as well. Aside from the main videos section they have dedicated interview and cumshot areas both of which have a decent amount of items. The interview section in particular is good to see as it brings another dimension to the collection.

Large Collection, A Few Years of Archives, Steady Updates.

Videos are the name of the game here as Defiant Boyz goes with video content exclusively and pictures are just video screen captures. With content dating back a few years I'm impressed with the amount of shoots they have with over a thousand in all. Steady updates are ongoing and every item is clearly date-stamped.

WMV Full-Scene Downloads, Simple & Consistent Options.

While they aren't overly fancy or spectacular the movie options are straightforward and consistent. New and old shoots have the same set-up so there's no confusion or varying options. The main format is WMV with full-shoot downloadable files and then they also have a secondary lower quality iPod MP4 option. In-browser streaming is offered in WMV.

Other Good Stuff:

Shoots have details posted including model names, written descriptions, scene length, and video file size details.
Network bonus sites are included which all have gay focused niche themes.

The Cons

Average Quality WMV Downloads, Could Use Better Streaming.

Defiant Boyz is one of those sites that emphasizes content exclusivity and entertainment value rather than quality. The WMV have okay specs of 1500k 640x480 for the best newest additions. That's a bit below average for a paysite and there is certainly room for a higher res level. The streaming is WMV as opposed to Flash so you can't jump ahead and the quality on the streams is also unimpressive.

Basic Navigation, No Model Index & Hit-&-Miss Keyword Search.

Things are organized around one big video section that has over 100 pages (10 scenes per page) and content is simply listed in chronological order. There isn't any kind of model index or breakdown by type of action like masturbation, guy/guy, anal, etc. other than the interview and cumshot sections. A basic keyword search is offered but I found those results to be fairly inaccurate and it's not much of a filter tool.

Minor Negatives:

Downloading speeds are average. Also, my download manager (software: IDM) only got partial functionality with 1-channel and no pause-resume.

Bottom Line

Lots of exclusive gay solo & guy/guy action plus interview videos & network access.

Defiant Boyz does very nicely in a few key areas including the amount of content, updates, and variety of action. While they could use a higher-resolution level on the videos it's still good to see they have the WMV full-scenes across the board which should be good enough for most users. This is one of those network sites that could do just fine on its own and the other company bonus sites are really just extras that only add to the value.
