Intro

COLT Studio Group is up for review today, and fans of the genre have no doubt heard of this studio. This is their official site, where you can find all of their DVD and photo content. They feature pretty standard gay DVD material, with everything from solo shoots to hardcore (twinks, bears, and more). Though they shoot all their own content, they are DVD producers, so you can't really call this stuff exclusive. Hopefully you know what they're all about, and are already a fan, as this will be a great place to see their whole collection. Just $15 a month gets you in the door thanks to a special price they've setup for our users.

The Pros

Pretty large site.

With over 1,000 photo galleries and over 500 videos, there's no shortage of content here. They've been producing their own material for years, and I have to assume that this site contains their entire archive. Check everything out, and see what gay porn of the past was all about, too, as you get further back in their collection.

Other Good Stuff:

The updates come pretty regularly here. Photos updates aren't dated, but the section is growing. Video additions come weekly, though it's only a single scene at this point.
Their content is all-original here. They shoot their own material, as I've explained, but you may have since it elsewhere since they do publish DVDs as well.
As for getting around the site, they have all the basics you'd expect from a DVD site including browse by model, DVD title, some categories, and more.
Their discounted price of $15 a month for our users is a great rate for sure.

The Cons

No downloads available.

What a bummer! They don't offer any downloads either in the video section, or the photo section. You can download one photo at a time, but they don't offer zip files or anything. Videos are all streaming-only, which is to protect their content no doubt. It's still a bit of a pain to not even have the option.

Minor Negatives:

Honestly, I thought they'd update a little more for how big of a company they are and how large the site is. At least they update consistently, but maybe adding more than a single scene per week would be a good thing.

Bottom Line

A lot of content in a wide variety of gay niches - it's decent all around.

COLT Studio Group is pretty much what I expected it to be. They have a lot of content, a wide variety of material, and update regularly. I'd say a few things hold them back, namely the lack of downloads, and maybe a lack of even more updates. Otherwise, what they offer is pretty much all good news. The scenes are fun, and there's enough to see that you should find a few things to your liking. They offer a few options for getting around the site, and still update weekly. To really get to the next level, I'd look for full download options for both photos and videos (including their HD content), even more updates (a DVD weekly at minimum), and a higher-tech website to make searching that much easier. As it stands, they have a pretty good product at a really good price.
