Intro

Alternadudes features hot alternative guys, like skaters, goths, rockers, punks, and emo guys. If you like men with tattoos, piercings, shaved heads or long hair, these are guys you'll want to see. The action is a mix of solo jerking off and hardcore gay sex, with all the dudes rocking an attitude that you won't see on your more typical stud or twink sites.

The Pros

All exclusive content.

These are all original scenes in a great niche. I love reviewing sites that offer a different perspective on sex or beauty and this is one of those. These aren't the models you'll find on typical gay sites. The models here are just a little bit dirty and wild, not the predictable models of other sites. These guys are rebels and the collection is all the more entertaining for it.

Great video viewing options.

There were plenty of options for viewing the scenes. Each one can be streamed in Flash with four quality settings (including high definition) and downloaded as an wmv in three quality settings and as an mp4 in two quality settings. You'll also notice a "music video" option for all of the scenes with those same viewing choices. In the music videos, the scenes are edited differently and set to music so you can see the guys "in two different lights." I think that's an awesome idea and really enjoyed watching both versions.

Other Good Stuff:

Good recurring price! It'll cost you $30 initially, but after the first month it drops to $15 a month.
Plenty of model and scene info. They offer up some entertaining descriptions that are good intros to the guys.
Some good browse tools. There's a favorites folder, a list of top models, scenes, and videos, and everything is tagged with categories so it's easy to jump to similar scenes.

The Cons

Tiny collection.

This is a really small site! There are currently just 24 videos and galleries in the collection. The videos are around 20 minutes long, but it still won't take you long to see everything on the site.

Average quality video.

The high quality wmvs play at 2000k-4000k and are 638x268 in size. Unfortunately, they are super grainy! I don't see how 4000k video can be so pixilated. Yeah, it's an amateur theme, but I was still disappointed with the video quality.

No update info.

There are no dates provided and no update log. On the FAQ page, they say they strive to update weekly. I'm really not sure how often they meet that goal or when the next update might come.

Minor Negatives:

So-so download speeds. They weren't awful, but they did take a while for scenes to download.

Bottom Line

The scenes are entertaining, but the quality, size, and updates need work.

With a very original theme, I enjoyed the videos on Alternadudes. It's a creative collection, to be sure. Unfortunately, the lack of update info, tiny collection, and at best average quality video makes it tough to fully recommend Alternadudes. There's a lot of room for improvement. The price is right, at least. I'd say give it a shot, if you're really into bad boys and rebels, but otherwise I'd say hold off until the site has had time to grow and make some necessary adjustments.
