Intro

Sweet And Raw is up for review today, and this site comes to us from a gay studio based in Switzerland. They aim for 2-3 twinks in hardcore action with no condoms in sight. The bareback theme makes the site a bit unique at least, plus their content is all original of course. It's part of a small group of sites called Bareback Access, and you get a full membership to everything they offer for $30 a month.

The Pros

Bareback gay scenes.

I guess that's the whole point of the site, so it's a pretty obvious positive to write here. It's actually the point of their whole network judging by the name of it. The content here will be what sells the site most I'm sure. All gay sex, lots of twinks, and not a condom in sight.

Other Good Stuff:

Updates seem to come once a week pretty regularly for the videos. Photos aren't dated, but are higher in numbers, so I assume there are frequent updates there as well.
Their content is advertised as exclusive here, which I'm incline to agree with them :)
There are a few network sites included here. It helps the "bang for buck" aspect of the membership to have a decent set of bonus content available.

The Cons

Navigation could be better.

There are a few things going on here for navigation that really holds them back. First, there are no real features or anything. There's no search, and no categories to browse through. They do have a models index, but it's not very customizable. They have enough content that a better search setup would be quite helpful.

The second issue is just with how the site is coded I think. I'm pretty particular when it comes to how I browse - when to open things in a new window, etc. Here, sometimes the link won't allow you to easily open it in a different window, and other times they do it for you. It's just not the norm I guess.

Minor Negatives:

The download speed varies here quite a bit, and can be on the slow side. They don't allow more than a single download channel at once, so download managers are pretty useless. Even the site's pages took a while to load at times, which got old. It added together with the weird site linking structure (see above) to make a less than stellar experience for me trying to get around the site overall.
The quality is pretty average here at best. They do offer some HD videos, but there are issues there even (see below).
This was a weird one for me, though it's kinda related to the navigation thing above. When you change the settings for the streaming video (to the larger size, for example), it opens up a new window with that video that starts playing. The problem lies in that they already started auto-playing the other video on the first page, so then you have two things going at once. It's all very strange.
The HD videos here are offered in streaming format only. That means no downloads, and also a lower-quality HD experience than I'd hope for.

Bottom Line

Not bad overall with some fun scenes, but they don't stand out a ton either.

Sweet And Raw is definitely a fine enough site. The content is good, they update weekly, and they shoot all their own material. Beyond that, it's pretty basic for me. The size is pretty average, as is the update schedule. The quality could be bumped up a tad, and it'd help if you could download the HD versions. The site is rather plain in terms of navigation, and I ran into a few weird quirks at times as well. If a few of those things could be fixed, it'll be that much better. As it stands, it's fine enough, but not a site that I'll remember a ton down the road.
