Intro

AV Erotica is up for review today, and they bill themselves as a site that "captures the beauty" of their models, and lean more towards natural photography and video. Looking around the site a bit, I'd guess they are based in Europe somewhere, and the women on the site follow that as well. It's mostly a solo site, with girls getting nude and spreading at times, but never really playing with much or getting too wild. The girls are younger and seem to be usually first-timers, or at least have that amateur look to them. $30 a month get you in the door, which I guess is expected overall.

The Pros

Pictures look really nice.

They're large, they're colorful, they're sharp, and they're well-lit. The characteristics of a great photo are all there, and they often come together to make some great-looking pictures.

Videos look really nice, too.

The DivX version at least comes in high-definition, which really bumps the quality up nicely. They look good overall, even compared to other HD videos, and really show off the models here.

Clean site overall.

I'm not a huge fan of the design, but the site and navigation are quite clean overall. There's no real clutter to speak of, and getting around is very intuitive.

Other Good Stuff:

New photosets are put up daily, and there's a new video put up weekly as well.
Photos come in three sizes, plus three zip files. Videos come in three video types, but otherwise no real options beyond that.
There's more HD here than expected, with high-definition videos going back to 2007 at times. Impressive!

The Cons

Not as many videos overall.

Granted, they're mostly a photography site it seems, but it's disappointing to see how many less videos there are compared to the photo section. I'd love to see them bumped up to more equals, as the videos are quite entertaining as well.

Wasn't quite as entertaining as other similar sites.

It's tough to put a finger on why exactly this was the case, but it just wasn't as entertaining for me as I was hoping it'd be. I love natural photography sites, and they tried to hit the mark here, but just fell short at times. Some sets look great, while others look like just a generic solo scene. I'm not sure how to fix it exactly, but it's just missing that something extra for me.

Minor Negatives:

Downloads come a bit slow overall. They bounced up and down a bit, but could be faster.
They need to add a streaming video option here to make those people happy that look for the instant playback and lack of history.
Thankfully the site is nice and clean to get around, but the design is pretty plain overall, and could be spruced up.

Bottom Line

Some good aspects, but it lacks that something special for me.

AV Erotica has a lot of the basics and necessities down pat here. They update daily, there's a decent amount to see, they offer huge images that look great, also offer high-definition video, and offer a few options for checking the content out. The girls look good, and they try pretty hard overall. However, it's missing that something special or extra for me. I just didn't quite enjoy the content as much as I wanted to here, and I really wanted to. It's not something I can put my finger on and explain why, but there just wasn't that certain pose or look nearly often enough that really gets me going. It's really not bad at all, but I was hoping for just a bit more passion I guess out of the content.
