Intro

Breath Takers is an aptly title site as it's a glamour photography site with beautiful models from all over the world. The content is original and exclusive and they do have a section of videos to go along with the photo galleries. Their stated theme is to be collection of sensuality, provocation, and fantasy and visitors can get a sense of that from the samples shown on the guest tour. The site has been online for a few years now and has a straightforward monthly membership or a non-recurring multi-month choice.

The Pros

Stylish Exclusive Glamour Pics/Vids, Sexy Euro & U.S. Models.

Breath Takers does very well in terms of having incredibly impressive glamour photography content. This stuff has a professional and fun style with amazingly beautiful models who are exactly the type I like to see featured in softcore shoots. The settings are creative and artistic and there's nudity in all the shoots. This company is based in London giving them a nice mix of Brit, French, Eastern European, American, and even some South American models. Most are white however there is a sprinkling of Asian, Black and Latinas too. They content certainly meets up with their stated goal of having a distinct and high value glamour fantasy collection.

Ultra High-Res Pictures w/ Zip Files, HD Video Downloads.

HD level content is a key asset the site has working in its favor. Pictures make up the bulk of the collection so I'll go over those first. Two sizes are available for viewing online or downloading in zips: ~4200x2800 and ~1024x280. The larger are just the type of ultra high-res that you want to see from a glamour site of this kind. The videos are in HD level WMV and MP4 files for downloading at 5000 k 1280x720. iPod and PSP files are also offered as in in-browser Flash streaming. All things considered download and viewing options are very solid.

Sharp/Professional Design, Chronological & Model Indexes.

The site layout and appearance fits nicely with the high quality content. The guest tour allows visitors to get a feel for the models and content style and then the member's area itself has simple straightforward sections including a chronological year/month content index, model directory, and a separate videos section.

Other Good Stuff:

Updates seem to be steady based on the monthly listing. They add about 8 new galleries each month.
These guys have written model profiles which give background info including the country/city of origin. Also they have a separate list of basic physical stats.
A content count ticker in the member's area highlights the total number of models, photos, sets, and videos.

The Cons

Videos Section is Relatively Small, Sluggish Download Speeds.

Breath Takers content is weighted towards pictures rather than videos which may be important to some surfers. The videos section itself has about half dedicated to actual HD video shoots with the other half being behind-the-scene material. No file size details are shown for the movies although they do publish the length in minutes/seconds. Download speeds are below average as I got about 300-400KB/sec meaning it takes a while to save these 100-200MB files. Previous TBP reviews have noted similar speeds so those appear to be standard here.

Only Standard or Super High-Res Pictures, No Middle Levels.

When browsing the galleries opening a picture initially brings up the standard pic which is about 1024x680. Clicking on that image opens the super high-res image. You must open the high-res version separately for every image as there isn't a quality selector available as a user or gallery setting that you can change. In my opinion they could use a mid-range image that higher that's between the two currently levels. Right now it's either an okay quality pic or a massive super high-res one. A basic high-res third option would make a lot of sense here.

Minor Negatives:

Individual galleries and videos are not date-stamped. The videos section updates can be a bit sporadic.
Outtake videos which constitute about 50% of the movies are only in MP4 format for downloads without the HD level. Also, every time you open the video page an in-browser stream starts playing which became annoying after a few times.
Additional model sorting or search would be helpful. Currently the index is only alphabetical with no breakdown by physical traits (hair, ethnicity, origin, etc).

The other

About 40% of the models have both photos and videos available. The remainder have just photo content with no video scenes.

Bottom Line

An impessive medium-sized collection of stylish high-res glamour pics/vids with HD content.

Breath Takers does have more positives than negatives. They do very well with the sexy models, creative shoots, and high-quality content which are all key items for a softcore glamour site. The videos section is a bit of a weakness when it comes to amount of videos and that less than half the models actually have movies available. The fact is sites like this have stiff competition with other high-res softcore sites that have huge archives so by comparison this is a medium to smaller sized site. Still, we can mark Breath Takers down as a quality source of all exclusive glamour content.
