Intro

JAV On Demand is a DVD site featuring Japanese sex movies. My first thought upon seeing "On Demand" in the title was that it was a pay per view site, but that's not the case. This is a regular paysite with a monthly membership that gets you access to their complete collection of movies. The tour is much like the member's area so you can get an idea of exactly what kind of material you'll find inside.

The Pros

Hot hardcore video collection.

JAV on Demand offers an authentic collection of Japanese porn DVDs unlike what you'll typically find on Asian sites. These are the real deal, with models that actually look like they're from Japan. The action is a mix, including orgies, anal, creampies, double penetration, voyeur, and more. Best of all, it's uncensored. Just clear and sharp Japanese porn!

High quality material.

There are some high quality, professional scenes in this collection. The newest videos are offered in high definition as wmvs and mp4s. These scenes are 1280 x 960 in size and play at 6000k. They're large and sharp and really a great asset for the site.

Easy to navigate.

Getting around the large site was no problem. There's a model index, a costume list, and a category list that you can use, in addition to the chronological lists of videos. You can also view the most downloaded DVDs.

Other Good Stuff:

There are plenty of options for viewing the videos. Each scene can be downloaded as a wmv and as an mp4 in two settings. There's also a streaming Flash option.
Quick downloads! Using the browser I got speeds of 1.0mbps while using a download manager the videos came in at 6.2mbps. No waiting needed for these scenes!

The Cons

Older scenes aren't as sharp.

Though overall I was impressed with the content quality, there is a drop-off in size and sharpness as you go back in the collection. Only the most recent 20% or so of the collection is high definition. The rest are standard definition, playing at 3100k and 720x480. These scenes still look fine enough, but they're not HD.

Erratic updates.

There have been two updates this month and last month there were three. Two-three seems to be about the average. That's not great. There's no telling when those updates will take place and they're just not coming often enough.

Not a huge collection.

Usually on a video site like this we're talking about large archives. Jav on Demand only has around 113 DVDs online. That's not bad for a standard site, but I would have expected many more from a DVD site like this.

Minor Negatives:

No information is provided for any of the movies. You get the model name but nothing else. There's no scene description or any other helpful info.
There are no photos here. This is a video-only site.

Bottom Line

Japanese fans should enjoy this high quality collection of movies.

For authentic-looking high quality Japanese porn, JAV On Demand is a good join. Membership is $30 a month, reasonable for HD videos like these. The big thing I'd like to see is consistent updates coming weekly at minimum. Otherwise this is a user-friendly site that fans should enjoy.
