Intro

Out of all the porn magazines out there I'd have to say Swank was always my favorite title. While it's might not have been as well known as some of the other the name is a great one. Swank Pass is indeed the online presence of this publication and it's a network set-up with a dozen niche sites relating to their mags. For the most part it's a straightforward network with photo galleries and lots of hardcore downloadable video scenes. Also included is access to an archive of magazine issues. The guest tour gives surfers a pretty good overview of the network as a whole and a feel for the type of content you can expect to see in the member's area.

The Pros

Large Network of Niche Sites, Lots of Hardcore & Some Softcore.

This Swank network has a network hub site where all the member's content is combined and you can browse or search everything at once. Also, each site has its own dedicated section all of which are listed on the navigation header. The content is a big ol' collection of hardcore videos along with photo galleries that features a mix of hardcore and solo model sets. Lots of familiar pornstars are featured throughout the collection and they run the gamut from those who look like polished porn models and others that are more amateur looking.

Magazine Archives for Numerous Publications, Good Viewer.

Issues archives are something that's good to see from a company like Swank that has been a long established magazine company. Many of the different titles are included like Swank, Genesis, Gent, Leg World, Velvet, Just 18, and a few others. I did see however that the archives no longer are active and they seem to only cover 2006-2008. There's still a lot to see here but new additions aren't being added. Perhaps they've discontinued the paper magazines - I'm not sure.

Simple but Functional Browse Tools, Model Index & Filter Tool.

The basic design of the network seems to be a generic script that I've seen used on other paysites however there are tools here that help a lot. An alphabetical model index is offered as is an advanced search/filter tool that includes a keyword search and breakdown by categories (i.e. niche), type (photo or video), and site. You can utilize any or all of these and it brought back accurate results for me. While they're not overly flashy the navigation tools are quite helpful.

Other Good Stuff:

Videos are available in full-scene and clip segment WMV files plus Flash and additional options on newer updates. Photo galleries can be viewed online or saved as zip files.
The network features daily updates with regular additions across different network sites. All galleries/videos are date-stamped.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

Mixed Bag of Content, Lots of Non-Exclusive Stuff.

The magazine archives are a separate content item from the main photo and video collection here. Overall it's a real grab bag of porn with a mix of original and non-original content. They don't really give many shoot details or clarify what is what. Overall it seem the bulk of what's here is non-original and lots of the porn girls are very recognizable.

Older Content is Lower Quality, Fewer Video Format Options.

Content quality is only okay here as the picture and video quality isn't anything to write home about. The content from a few years back have even lesser quality levels and also video formats are fewer with usually just WMV and no in-browser Flash format. They don't provide things like video file size or spec details for the files so things can be a bit hit-and-miss.

Minor Negatives:

Before downloading each video or gallery zip you must click "OK" on a company copyright notice. This gets repetitive and annoying.
Download speeds are average and I was unable to save the WMV files using my download manager (software: IDM).
Magazine archives seem to be static and the last issues online are from 2008.
There are quite a number of member's are ads/upsells along with join page cross-sells.

The other

A network 'Articles' section is available with a Blog that includes the occasional posts featuring industry or humorous items.

Bottom Line

This network has a good amount of hardcore videos & pictures spread over their collection of niche sites.

Swank Pass should be looked at as a general hardcore network rather than one related to their actual magazine publications. Overall there's a good amount to see in terms of both pics and vids and the full-files, clips, and gallery zips make for good download options. What holds the network back is the lack of info on the content and the fact that it has the feel of a grab-bag of content that isn't very focused or specialized.
