Intro

Next Door Hookups is a part of the Next Door Pass network which is a collection I'm familiar with from past reviews. Still after looking at Next Door Hookups it took me a minute to nail down the concept and how that fit into this gay content network. What we have at Hookups is boy/girl hardcore that's filmed with a gay male audience in mind. All the other company site have guy/guy action so this one is kind of the black sheep of the group with girl-on-guy sex.

The Pros

Exclusive Girl/Guy Hardcore Episodes Shot for a Gay Audience.

For me what stands out most about Next Door Hookups is simply the content. These are all exclusive video episodes with guy/girl banging and some threesomes. Both the chicks and dudes are fit and sexy performers with mostly semi-pro or professional look. There are lots of indoor shoots plus they mix things up with outdoor action as well.

Nice Amount of Episodes, Site Has Been Around for a Few Years.

This is a well established site with episodes that date back for a number of years. For a network site with exclusive hardcore episdoes the total number of shoots is impressive as it approaches two hundred at the time of this review. Each shoot is date stamped so it's easy to see they've kept the site active and updating constantly since its inception.

Full-Scene WMV Files, Flash Streaming & Fast Download Speeds.

Download and viewing options fit well for this type of collection. Downloads are in full-episode WMV files in two quality levels topping out at 2000k 720x480. The in-browser Flash streaming loads quickly and allows for immediate jumping ahead. Download speeds were solid at around 1.8MB/sec which makes for relatively quick saving of these 200-350MB files. Based on other reviews TBP has done for network sites these fast speeds seem to be standard.

Other Good Stuff:

Photo galleries are available in addition to the video content. The images are polished studio style pics that come in around 950x630.
Access to Next Door Pass is included and that network features gay niche sites with original content.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

Boy/Girl Theme is Unusual for a Gay Network Site.

The situation here is unusual because of the attached network. While Next Door Hookups features all boy/girl action the stated theme is that it's geared towards a gay audience and all the included network sites feature gay action. While I understand the theme within the larger network collection straight surfers should be aware of the theme which isn't overtly apparent when you first arrive at the site. I also have to imagine many gay users won't be interested in this straight content.

Could Use Additional Formats for Video Downloads.

The WMV formatting is fine but there is room for an additional choice or two. Also, the quality level seemed to drop off a bit on the older shoots. Certainly that is the case on the Flash streaming where newer additions have pretty high-res streams while most movies have average quality Flash.

Minor Negatives:

The update pace is a bit slower than expected with one new episode added every 2 weeks.
There are some upsell ads in the member's area and pre-checked cross-sells on the join page.

The included network sites can be accessed from Next Door Hookups' navigation header. Login re-entry is not required when browsing between sites.

Bottom Line

An quality collection of exclusive boy/girl episodes that's part of a gay niche network.

Next Door Hookups does well on the basics of number of episodes, steadiness of updates, and content options. Without a doubt what is most intriguing about the site and the thing most surfers will have to take not of is the boy/girl content that is the only site like that in this company's gay network.
