Intro

Celebrity Movie Archive is pretty straightforward in letting you know what they offer here. It's a huge movie-only collection featuring celebrities in sexy outfits, and nude in movies. They pull their content from DVDs and TV shows for the most part, and only display the clips with something worth watching in them. The newer scenes are coming in HD, which is a nice move. Their pricing setup is a bit different, with more of a PPV setup going on. You can buy blocks of downloadable megabytes. For instance, $20 gets you 1,150 megabytes of downloads; each scenes is usually in the 15-30 megabyte range.

The Pros

Tons of content up.

As with most celebrity sites, coming up with good content numbers is not a problem here. They offer over 26,000 video clips right now, comprised of almost 6,100 celebrities. Though the clips are short, there are a ton of them.

Newer HD videos look decent.

The actual picture quality on them is a nice step up. The videos look clear and crisp. There was a big problem with the framerate (see below), but the actual quality is better still.

Large daily updates.

I counted up 63 video clip additions in the last week, which works out to around nine new video clips per day. That's a pretty good schedule for sure, and is no doubt how they got their numbers so high in the first place.

Other Good Stuff:

People with a small interest in a single celebrity could get away pretty cheap here if they buy a small package of downloads only.

The Cons

Navigation could have more options/features.

They break things down by celebrity name, or by show/movie title, which isn't a bad start. They also have a small search box, and the site is pretty clean overall. However, there just aren't that many other options here. The updates page is a bit cluttered for my liking, and I think they could do more with lists of favorites, popular people, people in the news, etc.

Windows 7 users need to acquire different codecs.

I have a pretty new computer, but the videos here were very, very choppy for me for some reason. The webmaster emailed me (post review) and let me know that the H.264 codec that comes standard with Windows 7 isn't that good overall.

To get them to play right, you'll either need to install a new codec pack, or use something like your Quicktime software (or VLC Media Player) to get them to look right. They're adding this info to the FAQ/support area, but it's just another step you need to go through.

Only a single download option.

Videos generally come in an MP4 or MPG file for download, and that's it. The clips are short enough that you don't need to break out full scenes vs. short clips, but other options would help. Another video type would be great, as would quality options. This is even more important since the standard MP4 files don't play nicely on a Windows 7 machine out of the box.

Minor Negatives:

There's some non-nude content here as well. You can get random Jay Leno shows or other appearances where the girls are sexy, but nowhere close to nude.
Of course, there isn't any exclusive content here. I would guess that they create all their own material (and don't just use recycled stuff from other sites), but you've seen these scenes before most likely.
For some reason, they don't offer any separate streaming or Flash videos, which may annoy some.
The PPV model isn't the best at times. For anyone who likes to download a ton, this could get expensive rather quickly.
The video clips are quite short here at times. Granted, there's only so much nudity in movies, so it makes sense, but don't expect long films or anything. At least it saves you in PPV cost.

Bottom Line

Lots of fun content, but the site is still pretty basic overall.

Celebrity Movie Archives does a few things right. First, they cover their bases offering most all of the major nude scenes and stars I could think of. More content comes daily, as well, so hopefully they stay on top of things. The new high-definition videos are a nice touch, and hopefully they can smooth out the framerate over time. Where they are really lacking is in options and features across the board. The site is pretty clean overall, but they also don't feature a ton of options for navigating the site. The same goes for downloads and viewing options, which are basically non-existent. This could be a great setup, with their pricing, for someone who just needs to see a few nude scenes from their favorites. However, they're not quite top-dog in the celeb category still, mostly due to the simple site setup they have going.
