Intro

Pornstar XS is up for review today, and to be honest, I don't totally know what the XS stands for. Is it excess? Maybe. Either way, this is actually a pretty typical DVD site in the end, with a few photo galleries thrown in as well. Recent updates are includes from studios such as Intense, Combat Zone, and more. They have a decent monthly price at $15 a month, which gets you full access to their site of course.

The Pros

Large collection, of course.

As with any other similar DVD site out there, you expect a lot of material to be offered. They have around 3,800 DVDs up currently, which isn't too bad. Each DVD has several scenes of course, so the numbers really start to multiply pretty quickly here.

Good viewing options.

Since they offer the same content as many other sites out there, the little details start to matter a lot. I think their video options are decent here with four WMV downloads, an MPG download, an iPod/PSP download, plus their streaming option.

Other Good Stuff:

It looks like they update their DVDs daily here, which is decent. Of course, some other DVD sites do more, but they're ahead of the pack for sure still.
$15 a month isn't bad at all for what you get access to. I guess that's one of the big DVD site benefits is a ton of content offered at (usually) a lower price like this.
I like their huge list of categories you can choose to search from. The actual search itself could be better (see below), but their list of actual categories is one of the most exhaustive out there.

The Cons

Quality could be a bit better.

Granted, they're pulling from DVDs, so you can't expect high definition or anything. However, some other DVD sites offer better quality from the same source material, so it is possible.

Non-exclusive content.

Another "duh" here I guess, but all the content here is non-exclusive. Both the photos and DVD videos seem to be pretty generic material that can be found on many other sites out there.

Minor Negatives:

The actual search filter is a little clunky here. You first choose your sub-category (location, clothing, sex act, etc.), then the actual category. Your list pops up, but if you want to refine it more, you have to start the process all over again. One big page where you could just start choosing multiple options at a time would be better.
The custom scene thing is cool, but there were a few issues. First, downloads don't work with download managers here, so they're quite a bit slower. Then, the file that opened could not be forwarded through; you had to watch the whole thing start to finish for some odd reason (using Windows Media Player on Windows 7).
There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, which may be annoying for some.
There's no scene info here at all, which definitely takes away a little personality from the site.

Bottom Line

Not bad overall, but in the end, it's a pretty standard DVD site.

$15 a month gets you in the door, and that's one of the better things going here at Pornstar XS. From there, it's a pretty typical DVD site with almost 3,800 DVDs, daily updates, and some decent video options. As for things I'd look for improvement on, perhaps a slicker advanced search would help, a better streaming setup, a little better quality, and I guess just more content and updates. They're fine all around, but probably not top-dog in any specific areas. I'm sure you'd have fun if you joined the site, but it'd be a tough sell on why you should pick this one over any of the other similar sites out there.
