Intro

Grooby Archives is up for review today, and this is a conglomeration of a bunch of shemale content from across all the sites they run. In that regard, it's a mix of a network and a paysite, but with content you could have seen before. This is basically their archives section, where they put slightly older material that's already been out on their other sites for a while. The pricing is pretty strange as well at $18 for the first month, and $35 a month after that. Why they would charge more for loyal members, I have no idea.

The Pros

Huge archive of shemale content.

The sheer size of the site here is the most impressive thing they have going. At one time, this content was exclusive to the site it was on, and is now at least original content (and more like semi-exclusive) now that it's on their archive site here. As long as you haven't been a member of their other sites too much, it should be all new. Expect around 800,000 photos, and around 4,300 videos. Nice.

Large weekly updates.

For some reason, last week was skipped, but they seem to do the weekly update thing with large additions. The last update included 25 photo sets and 25 videos, which is no doubt how the site got so large here.

Other Good Stuff:

When the content was first released, on their original sites, it was exclusive material. They haven't sold it off to any other companies or anything, but now that it's on this secondary archive site of theirs, you may have actually seen it before.

The Cons

Content is pulled from their other sites.

This is probably the biggest downer of the site. If you've been a member of any of their other sites, such as Shemale Yum, Ladyboy Ladyboy, Frank's Tgirl World, etc., you may have seen this exact content before. On top of that, by it's very nature, it's not their newest material here since it's their archive site.

Quality varies and can be bad.

As you go farther back in their collection, the quality obviously gets worse, as expected. They don't really have the site setup to browse it chronologically, so you get a huge mix of qualities here depending on when the scene was from. At best, it's average or a little below in terms of quality, and it gets much worse than that.

Navigation could be better.

I understand that they wanted to keep it simple here. They have everything broken down by model only, as well as a page of their latest updates from the week. However, with a site this large, browsing by model is not the best way. I'd look for some kind of search setup to really go in the right direction. Let me find all the Asian trannies in hardcore action in a simple manner, for instance.

Minor Negatives:

The downloads are a bit slow/choppy here for some reason. They don't allow download managers, and there's be periods of quick downloads, then periods of nothing coming in. It averages out to around 1/6th of my max speed here.
There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, so you're stuck downloading a single photo at a time.
For some reason, they don't offer any streaming or Flash videos, which may annoy some.

Bottom Line

A shitload of shemale content here that's a bit plain, but gets the job done.

The site is quite plain, the content may feel old, and there aren't nearly as many options as I'd usually look for, but the sheer size and scope of the Grooby Archives is pretty impressive. If you need the latest and greatest, or have joined their sites in the past and may have seen a lot of this stuff before, it may not be worth it. However, there's a ton of content, and large weekly updates, and it was all-original shemale content at one time. The pricing confuses me, as I don't think it's fair to charge more for the second month than the first, but that's for you to decide. If you just want a large archive of shemale material, this one fits the bill quite nicely.
