Intro

One look at the tour and I'm intrigued. Ken Marcus is a renowned photographer who has done amazing work in both mainstream and adult media. His expertise covers entertainment, museum work & publications to Playboy and Penthouse Magazine. This site is a collection of his work with a new focus on fetish photography. It's glamour fetish taken to the next level and one of the key components to any great shoot relies on the connectedness of the model to the bondage/fetish situation. You will find ballet dancers, body builders and performance artist who naturally express themselves and it shows in his work. Currently there are more than 585 photo shoots and 110 video shots online for $29.95 per month.

The Pros

Exclusive Professional Fetish Photography.

Ken Marcus has made his claim in many areas when it comes to his photography skills. KenMarcus.com is a collection of his latest work which features gorgeous models and amateurs in sexy bondage gear: corsets, leather, stockings & latex with fetish from pony to feet, cages, candles, ropes, toys and other interesting devices. Artistry and quality are key components of Ken Marcus's work and you'll see that here in his content.

Large Format Imaging, Great Quality.

Newest images look sharp over 3000 pixels. They're bigger than life, amazingly shot, simply stunning pics. You won't find flimsy out of focus throw away, just simply amazing quality photos where you can see every detail of the models skin tone & texture even. And though it ranges, some videos looked sharp at 3000k (640x360).

Other Good Stuff:

A model index lists the girls in alphabetical order. You can also browse by a couple different categorical options like solo, lesbian, boy-girl, hair color, corsets, latex, etc.
Images are offered in 3 size formats for viewing online.
Tons of bonus content offered.

The Cons

Most Updates Appear to Be Bonus Content.

It's hard to say for sure just how often Ken even updates with his own material any more. There are no date stamps on content and looking at the update calendar for August, all I see are bonus updates. Content should be dated and new exclusive shoots are necessary to keep the sites value afloat.

Video Quality, Download & Viewing Options Are Inconsistent.

The viewing options for the videos is all over the place. Some offer Flash streams while others simply offer MOV files. Some even have WMV in high and low formats, and some also offer the iPod option. Almost never do you see all of these together and it's all different depending on which clip you choose. This can also have an effect on quality which ranges from very nice, to simply decent and to average.

Minor Negatives:

Many image sets offer super small images, much lower than standard these days, without the option for different sizing. No ZIPs are offered for any of the sets.
Overall site design needs work. The collection feels disjointed. Even though there are categories and a model index, some sort of complete listing in chronological order would be helpful for users looking to get a time-line perspective on Ken's content.
There are too many links to outside sources, 3rd party content, etc.

Bottom Line

Erotic & artistic portrayal of fetishes, an overall so-so site.

While I really enjoyed and could appreciate a lot of Ken Marcus's content, I have to admit that overall I expected a lot more from his site. Some of the 3000 pixel images are simply gems to look at, and I love the erotic, artistic portrayal of the fetishes, but the fact that the site predominantly updates with non-exclusive content, the inconsistencies in download/viewing options and other clumsy design keep me from wanting to suggest a join for almost $30 bucks per month. Maybe at a cheaper price point, but for now the value's just not in it for me.
