Intro

Blake Mason is the collaborative project of two British guys Jason Blake and Adam Mason. They describe their content as "British amateur men in action" which means that other than being a hardcore gay site with exclusive videos they also focus on the notable themes of amateurs and British guys. The site has been around for a number of years now, always earned high review scores from TBP, and has a guest tour that lets you scroll through previews of the content collection and also get further information on the site and its founders.

The Pros

Exclusive Solo/Hardcore British Amateur Collection, 100's of Videos.

Blake Mason just has an excellent collection of content. Things are organized by video episode that has a mix of solo guy stripping/masturbation along with guy/guy hardcore, and groupsex. When you add to that the fact that they feature all exclusive stuff and have the British/amateur focus it makes this and extremely impressive archive. Blake Mason does well in both the entertainment value and quantity which is a fairly rare combo.

Full-Scene WMV/MP4 Downloads, HD Quality on Newer Updates.

Movie and options are a real plus and the format choices are consistent across the board. They include multiple quality levels of both WMV and MP4 full-scene downloads. Newer updates have full HD level videos at 5000k 1280x720 in both of the formats. For those interested the scene video captures do have zip files for downloading so they pretty much covered all the bases.

Useful Search & Filter Tool, Professional Site Design.

The basic layout revolves around a straightforward chronological listing of the shoots. There's no clutter, ads, or filler content which is nice. An advanced search/filter tool offers the ability to entry all sorts of criteria to find shoots with specific types of action or models. It's a useful feature that brings back accurate results and really does aid in navigating the content.

Other Good Stuff:

Videos are added twice per week and each shoot is date-stamped with update info showing when they were added to the site.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie and high quality in-browser Flash streaming is also available in addition to the download formats.
Mason has a diary that gets occasional postings plus there is a member's area forum.

The Cons

Older Videos Have Medium Quality Videos Available.

While the base formats are the same on the newer and older episodes there is some variation in terms of what specs are available. The oldest shoots have a top level of 1500k 640x480 and then there are others along the way that fall between that and the new HD level movies. These older movies look good but just be aware that there is different quality levels depending on the age of a given shoot.

No Dedicated Photo Content, Video Screen Caps Only.

When you do a review like this you want to be sure to point out what's here and what isn't. I like the fact that they focus entirely on videos and go with screen caps for images however others might wish they did have a separate photos section. For all intents and purposes this is a video site with the screen captures serving as secondary or supporting material.

Minor Negatives:

While the search tool does have a text model list there isn't a dedicated model index with preview pictures for all the men.
Mason's diary only seems to get updated about once per month on average. Sometimes there are entries more often and other time there are longer gaps.

The other

About Us and FAQ pages have good information about the site and owners. They also have info for those who are intereseted in modeling for them. All this info is accessible to both members and guests.

Excellent exclusive solo & hardcore British guy videos with HD level movies.

Blake Mason's is a very impressive entry in the gay niche as they deliver in many key ways including having all exclusive content and HD level content. They have put together a track record of updates going back years which makes me feel confident they'll continue to grow the site on into the future.
