Intro

DVD Store is a straightforward DVD movie download site. The way the guest tour is set-up is an "open book" style where guests can see the entire collection and navigate around just like members. This makes it easy to get a feel for the DVDs, pornstars, and studios that are available in the collection. Spending a few minutes there will let you know if they have what you're looking for.

The Pros

Several Thousand Downloadable DVD Movies.

These guys do well in terms of quantity with a few thousand movies in the collection. Often sites will count video scenes as movies but that's not the case here. Each of these movies is a full length DVD and has multiple scenes included.

Full-Scene Downloads in MPEG & WMV.

This is what works best for this type of content. The individual movie pages have a few tabs labeled Info, Player Settings, and Downloads. The download has clear links to MPEG, WMV, and QT/iPod files. You can download them through your browser or use a download manger.

Flash & WMV Streaming, 2 Quality Levels.

Streaming is a big enough part of the movies that these options are worth discussing. Both Flash and WMV in-browser streams are available with two quality levels for each. Toggling between the formats/qualities is easy enough on the movie page's "Player Settings" section.

Browse by Niche, Pornstar, or Studio.

"DVDs" and "Videos" pages have chronological listing of the full-movies and scenes respectively. These can be sorted chronologically or by rating. Niche tags allow for further filtering. Other Good Stuff:

The guest tour is wide-open and non-members can get a complete feel for the collection before signing up.
Date-added update info is clearly stamped on each movie listing.
Movie and scene lengths are clearly posted in minutes/seconds.

The Cons

No Pics on Models Index, Basic Niche Tag System.

These are two of the primary navigation tools and are needed for a site with this many movies. Both are too basic and not developed enough to make them as useful as they ought to be.

1-Day Trial Recurs for 2 Months at High Price.

The billing set-up on the trial is unusual enough to justify noting it in a bullet point. The trial is a short at 1-day and then the recurring price is for 2 months and thus is more money than the single month amount. There are also cross-sells on the join page.

Non-Exclusive Content, Standard Collection.

This is typical of DVD movie sites like this. The titles and studios are material that can be found elsewhere as well.

Minor Negatives:

File size info posted on the videos is incorrect. The same numbers appear on each movie.
Video streaming always starts playing whenever you open a movie/video page which can get annoying.
There are some upsells on the site for dating and live cam services.

Bottom Line

A DVD download site with thousands of full-length movies from many porn studios.

DVD Store is uncomplicated and straightforward. They do well by having a large collection of movies and tons of stars listed in the model index. Quantity is the main asset here. The downloads are fine with a few formats plus some streaming. What they don't do is provide anything extraordinary that would separate themselves from the other sites they're competing against. Video quality and navigation are satisfactory and there is room for improvement on those.
