Intro

Amateur Hi Def's title makes it pretty clear what their concept is all about. Indeed they do have focus on both the amateur and high-definition niches in a content collection that features solo girl and hardcore action. Most of the links on the guest tour direct to the join pages however the models page is informative since visitors can see the layout of that section just as members do. Bumping around that area for a short time will let you get a good overview of the girls and the shoots they have available.

The Pros

Cute Models, Mix of Solo Masturbation, Hardcore, & Group Scenes.

The models here fit pretty well with the overall amateur theme and appear to be a mix of amateur and semi-pro girls along with other more established and familiar models. Overall I like the girls and they work well here. The variety to the action impressed me as there is everything from solo masturbation/toy play, boy/girl hardcore, girl/girl, and even some groupsex. There is a good amount of all the different types of content and certainly lots of hardcore.

Amateur Hi Def has been around for a few years and by continuing to update they've established a nice sized archive. All the numbers are solid and into the hundreds in terms of the amount of models, video scenes, and photo galleries. The quantity is more than you might expect from a site with a hi def emphasis.

High-Res Content, Full-Scene WMV/H.264 Files & Gallery Zips.

Of course with Hi Def in the title the content quality levels and options are a key item here. The videos are in full-scene downloadable WMV and H.264 files at 1280x720 3100k (WMV) 2200k (H.264) and look nice and sharp. The photos in newer galleries reach 2800x1800 in size which is definiltely respectable.

Other Good Stuff:

Nice quality in-browser Flash streaming is also available on the videos. It loads quickly and allows for immediate jumping ahead.
Download speeds are pretty fast. Videos come in around 100-300MB each so it doesn't take long to completely download them.
There is a model index that can be sorted alphabetically or by newest added.

The Cons

HD Content Could Have Higher Specs or Additional Options.

Obviously with high-def being such a big part of the site's selling point it's fair to take a close look at those options. The 1280x720 3100k specs are solid however there is room for improvement. Many other sites have 5000k and 1920x1080 so it's certainly not unheard of for porn sites to have higher levels than Amateur Hi Def does. Some different quality level choices on both the videos and pictures are also something they don't have.

Navigation & Browse Tools are A Little Underdeveloped.

Considering the amount of content here the model index and other navigation aids could use some work. The model index can't be sorted in any way except alphabetical or date added. There are niche tags on the individual shoots but that's a pretty basic system that doesn't bring up very narrow results. The search is a basic keyword search with no advanced filter options.

Minor Negatives:

Photos initialy open with a small prview image. From there you have to click on a "download high-res" link to bring up the large high-res version.
The downloadable movie files and gallery zips do not have any file size information posted.
Upon opening the video pages the in-browser Flash always starts playing which can get a little annoying for those who just want to download.

Bottom Line

Lots of solo & hardcore video/picture content with consistent high-quality downloadable videos.

Overall Amateur Hi Def's positives outweigh the negatives. The site does quite well in terms of the amount of content as well as the variety. The video options are consistent throughout and are high-resolution. The fast download speeds are a notable positive for a site like this. While they could improve things like the number of video options or navigation features overall it's a nice source of content featuring cute models in all sorts of different types of shoots.
