Intro

Besides having a pretty clever title Bars And Stripes is a spanking fetish site that's also very much incorporates the prison theme as well. This is one of those fantasy style fetish sites that has a concept and sticks to it throughout the collection. While the guest tour won't give you a full look at the member's area layout they do have some video preview trailers that do give visitors a nice feel for the type of content available in their collection. The site has been around for a number of years which has allowed them to compile a pretty good sized collection.

The Pros

Exclusive Spanking Fetish Content, Fun Prison Theme Too.

Spanking is definitely a fetish all its own and Bars And Stripes is all about spanking while at the same time they really have a great prison theme going on. That makes for a pretty unique and really an entertaining collection of content which is also exclusive. There are many different prison settings and rooms, guard uniforms, and a whole lot of spanking with hands, paddles, and other implements. I like the group of models as well which makes for a quality collection of content for spanking fans.

Good Amount of Video & Picture Content, Steady Updates w/ Log.

For a specialty spanking site there is a respectable amount of content. The site has been around for a number of years and they have lots of shoots available for each model. The total amount of picture and video content is pretty balanced and then they also have video screen captures as well. There is a dedicated update log in the member's area and they add a new content item every 2 days on average with either a video segment or photo gallery.

Other Good Stuff:

Download speeds are quite fast. I was getting about 1.2MB/sec which means the WMV videos save very quickly (the clips average about 25-35MB each).
For navigation here is an 'Inmate' text model list and 'Prison Area' categories like punishment room, cell block, sick bay, PT room, etc. I like this set-up because it helps enhance the overall prison theme.
Picture galleries can be viewed online or downloaded as zip files.

The Cons

Content originality and exclusivity are the main selling points for Bars And Stripes. The flip side of that is that you'll be getting content quality and options that are average or a bit below average. The video are broken into parts (usually 3-4 per scene) and no full-scene files are available. The quality is also only okay and all the WMV files are in zip files.

Navigation/Design is a Bit Rough, Model Index is Text-Only.

The layout is pretty basic and there's room for improvement there. The model index is only in text and overall the content shoots have very few preview images that are usually really small thumbnail pics. There's also no way to search out specific types of spanking scenes (like by implement used, type of action, etc).

Minor Negatives:

The online gallery viewer always brings up a small image first. Each time you must click 'enlarge' to open the full-sized pic.
The downloadable movie files do not have any file size or spec information posted. The gallery zips also don't have file size or image size details shown.
No shoot or episode information is provided. Scenes aren't date-stamped either so it's impossible to tell when older items were added to the site or how new or old a given shoot is.

The other

Ther are just over two dozen total models. The collection is set up where each girl has a lot of shoots rather than there being a bunch of models with a few scenes each.
There is a 'Prison Diary' section which was originaly a plot device for the site however it hasn't been updated in several years. The older entries are still posted however it doesn't look like they'll be adding to that.

Bottom Line

Very entertaining spanking/prison content however the video options are a weakness.

Bars And Stripes is one of those sites where I really dig the content and I think spanking enthusiasts will also like what's here. They've just done a few things that make the videos more frustrating than they should be with clip segments only and zip files. If they had somewhat more user-friendly options there it would really help make the site noticeably better. Especially with the fast download speeds that's here full-episode files would have been great.
