Intro

Alex Boys is an original collection of gay content that includes both solo guy and hardcore action. As the title implies the focus here is on young adult twink type guys and I found that to be exactly what they offer. The guest tour has some samples and the design there is pretty much what you're going to see in the member%u2019s area so it gives visitors a feel for what they're all about. TBP has looked at the site in the past and I know they've been around for a number of years so they are pretty well established.

The Pros

Original Solo & Hardcore Twink Collection, Several Hundred Models.

Alex Boys has a solid collection of models for surfers that enjoy twink type guys. The shoots are a mix of solo guy along with hardcore guy/guy with solo content being more prevalent overall. The photos tend to have more of the softcore action while the videos are heavier on the hardcore which makes sense. The total number of guys is over 260 which is a nice number and a higher total than you might expect after first glimpsing the site.

Hundreds of Galleries w/ Zip Files, New Videos Have Better Options.

In terms of sheer numbers the photo galleries are the centerpiece of the content. Picture quality is good on most sets with clear images around 1024x768. Zip files were offered on every gallery I viewed so that seems to be a consistent option throughout. All the sites videos are in WMV format and newer additions have noticeably better options including specs around 1600k 1280x720 and/or full-scene files along with the clips.

Other Good Stuff:

The download speeds I got were quite fast at around 1.5-2.0MB/sec. My download manager (software: IDM) also worked well with fast speeds.
Browsing tools in include photo/video sectaions and a model index sortable by name, rating, or date added.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie and gallery zip.
One bonus site is included with membership. The content there is similar with young adult type models similar to Alex Boys.

The Cons

Most Vidoes Only in Clip Segments, Average Quality/Specs.

When compared to the hundreds of models and photo galleries the videos section is the weakest part of the content with less than a hundred movies. The formatting for the vast majority is also basic with clip segments only (usually about 5 per movie) and low/average specs for a paysite at around 700k 640x480. Taken together these things add up to hold back the videos portion of the member%u2019s area.

Update Information is Limited, Tough to Track Archive History.

Alex Boys has been around for many years and the only update information they show is month/day without the year. Newer additions have dates posted but not the archives. Considering the length of time the site has been around and the new dates shown the archives seems like it should be bigger especially the number of videos. For a collection like this I would prefer to see every shoot date stamped with the day and year it was added.

Minor Negatives:

Navigation tools are limited. There is no niche breakdown (solo vs. hardcore) or model filtering by physical traits.
Membership pricing doesn't offer a basic monthly join option. They have a trial which recurs monthly and then multi-month choices.

The other

The bonus sites are a mixed bag. Boylantis is a true bonus site with extra content while Freddy 18 is actually just a clone of Alex Boys.

Bottom Line

Original gay twink content with a mix of solo guy & hardcore scenes.

Overall Alex Boys is a nice collection of gay content featuring twink models. The softcore and hardcore variety is a notable positive as are the gallery zips and sheer number of models. The video part of the site is weaker than the photo galleries however they have seem to recently upgrade the specs and options. It'll be interesting to see if they continue those on all new movies or upgrade some of the older ones.
