Intro

Celeb Matrix is up for review today, so I hope you're ready to see famous people naked on camera. There are a few different types of celeb sites we come across, and this one seems like they'll throw up anything and everything relating to a celebrity. This could include non-nude content, fake content, and more. There are some gems here to be found (not that you couldn't find them elsewhere), but it's mixed in with all the other stuff. Still, there's a ton to see, and they update daily with a few sets. $30 a month gets you inside, which seems a little high to me.

The Pros

Huge collection.

As with most celeb sites, this one offers up a lot of content. They offer around 2,500 photo galleries, and over 2,800 video clips currently. Plus, updates come multiple times each day, so those numbers are growing quickly.

Multiple daily updates.

Each day, they seem to add five photo galleries per day, plus 10 new video clips per day. That all adds up to a lot of new content every single day, which is no doubt how they got their numbers so high in the first place. Some of it is definitely older content, but who cares.

Other Good Stuff:

I was glad to see they offered celebrity bios on the site. They seem to grab the info from public sources (like Wikipedia), but something is better than nothing.
There are several video options here, including three downloads (MPG, DivX, and MP4), plus a streaming version.

The Cons

Navigation is horrible.

I don't like this specific CMS for regular paysites, and somehow I think it's even worse for a celebrity site. There's no easy way to browse the celebrities in an easy manner. There are only eight galleries or videos listed per page, which makes for a ton of pages when you have 2,500 galleries.

Quality is pretty bad at times.

When you pull content from such a wide variety of sources, of course quality varies. As a whole here, though, things look worse than average I'd say. Even some photos show significant compression artifacts, let alone the video quality which could be compressed, way too small, squished, or otherwise.

Minor Negatives:

There are lots of fakes here overall. Sometimes the celebrity isn't even in the video, or sometimes it's a photoshopped image. There are also lots of non-nude scenes here, and no easy way to filter them out.

Bottom Line

Some okay content, but this was not one of my favorite celeb sites by far.

When you're working with the same content that so many other sites offer (the EXACT same content), you need to set yourself apart somehow. Unfortunately, Celeb Matrix didn't do that. The CMS (scripts) they use to run the site are all wrong for the celebrity niche. Navigation is horrible, as you can't easily browse by a single celebrity, and they only show eight galleries per page. Quality varies a ton, but is usually quite low. There's some decent celebrity bios, but the info is pulled from public sources anyway. It's just too cluttered for my liking, and they don't give you any reason to join their site over any of the other hundreds of similar sites out there. You'll get some okay content here, and a lot of it, but I think other sites will give you less of a hassle.
