Intro

The Pros

Decent Archive of Exclusive Content & Updates Often.

Freshman X has content going back to 2008 and they've compiled a nice-sized database of both pictures and videos. Each shoot offers a photoset and a video, with more than 240 currently. Updates come just about daily and they seem to spread them around pretty well in terms of model type and softcore/hardcore.

Cute Amateur Models& Variety of Content.

The models are a real plus as they fit well with the average Joe, boy-next-door theme, along with jocks and twinks. The content covers all the bases with solo softcore stripping & masturbation, as well as hardcore sex, facials, rimming and a few bareback sets.

High-Res Pictures w/ Zips, Full-Video WMV Files & Flash.

The content options on the newer content are solid with most galleries having high-resolution images along with a more standard level. Zip files are available for every gallery across the site. The videos have WMV full-files and clips along with in-browser Flash streaming (some newer ones of a HD MP4 option as well). While they're not all that varies the pic/vid choices work well for this content.

Quality Looks Good, Some HD.

Images are great, sized up to 1500x1000 pixels and have been since the beginning. Videos also look nice, there are even some HD quality downloads being added in MP4 format. They offer bitrates up to 4000k and the picture quality really does look sharp.

Other Good Stuff:

Advanced search feature & model index offered. Search feature allows users the ability to browse content by keyword, content type, action, dick type, clothing, ethnicity, fetish, hair color and setting.
Galleries and videos are date-stamped with update information showing when they were added to the site.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie and gallery zip file.

The Cons

Only Basic Model Information Provided, No Scene Info.

The model index has dedicated pages for each guy with links to each of their photo and video appearances. What they do have is quick stats on the models themselves (name, birthday, height, weight, the basics). Even if there isn't more detailed model info to give, some short descriptions for the content would at least be helpful.

Minor Negatives:

Not enough video format download options offered. While I enjoyed the MP4 & WMV/iPod clips (recently) being offered in full-length, additional video formats for all videos, as well as shorter clips would also be handy.
Most videos don't offer the HD quality download, and instead offer bitrates closer to 2000k (720x480). These are your more standard quality videos. Even the clips labeled HD didn't quite offer DVD specs for the WMV download, only the QT format.
Download speeds may be slow. Some files I downloaded offered quick speeds and full-use (8 channels) of the download manager, while others didn't and offered speeds closer to 800KB/second.

Bottom Line

Young studs and twinks in exclusive hard/soft content shoots.

Overall Freshman X is a quality site for young studs, twinks, jocks and boys-next-door in hard/soft content. The variety is nice, but won't blow you away. Some HD is being added, and that's a great touch. 6 weekly updates (3 complete photo/video shoots) also helps keep the archive growing fast. I would have enjoyed a touch more site personality in the form of lengthier model bios (video interviews are enjoyable, however), content descriptions, etc. In the end you can't go wrong with an exclusive site offering quality content on an almost daily basis.
