Intro

Mr. Skin is an incredibly well known site that's been around for well over a decade and has been featured or reference in all sorts of mainstream entertainment media. To sum up it's a celebrity site that has videos and pictures of nude movie/TV appearances by actresses and other stars. While the content has been a constant they have recently renovated the member's area with a redesign so obviously they're still going strong after all these years. The guest tour kind of highlights a lot of hardcore items which actually play a minor role in the overall content here. They're attention grabbers for sure but really the content is nudity on film by actresses and celebrities.

The Pros

Huge Archive of Nude Celebrity Film/TV Content, Daily Updates.

I suppose it would be pretty accurate to call Mr. Skin as the encyclopedia of nude celebrities on film. The archive available here is likely to have all the stars you want to search for from the really popular ones to the more obscure actresses whether they're American or foreign. The site updates daily with video clips and pictures and that's been a constant as long as I can remember. Content is organized by celeb but the breakdown is deeper with movie and TV show titles listed and cross-linked so there is a touch of IMDb in the set-up rather than it just being a simple page of any given model's content items.

Main Content is Videos, WMV/MP4 Downloads & Flash Streaming.

Unlike a lot of other celeb sites that can often have lots of pictures as their main content Mr. Skin's centerpiece is the video clips of nude appearances right out of mainstream movies. Lots of pictures/stills are offered alongside the videos but it's a definite positive that the movies are his focus. Movies are in Flash streaming format and also downloadable as WMV and MP4 (this format on the newer items). They've improved the quality recently with higher specs specifically on the MP4 which are 1280x720 (unknown bit rate). Overall the steaming and download options work well for a collection like this.

Design and navigation are quite important for a site like Mr. Skin. There's a lot of content to organize and information to cross-reference. The celebrity index is a useful tool which is a straightforward list in alphabetical order. Keyword and advanced search functions are very useful especially the keyword which auto-fills and brings up headshot thumbnail preview pics. Links to similar celebs and other performers from the movies/shows are also helpful items.

Other Good Stuff:

Lengthy biographical and rating info is provided for each celebrity. This includes a write up and list of Skin Filmography for movies and TV.
Mr. Skin has fun additional content that include a blog, Top 10 lists, and annual awards. The member's home page also has links to his Twitter and Facebook pages.

The Cons

Mix of Nude, Semi-Nude, & Sexy Content, Varies by Celebrity.

This is one of those things that is somewhat out of Mr. Skin's hands but goes wit the territory when you put together a site like this. The content has a lot of sexy or semi nude items where the actress doesn%u2019t appear naked. Content items are noted with tags like (nude, breasts, underwear, sexy, etc) and it really depends on what actress you're looking at as to whether she will have some or any fully nude content. This is kind of where the guest tour's emphasis on showing a handful of hardcore and naked shots can mislead surfers a bit.

Video Clips are Short, Sometimes Broken into Parts, Quality Varies.

Celebrity sites are well known for having dubious and inconsistent content quality. Mr. Skin is better than most with consistent Flash streaming and WMV video downloads plus the addition of higher quality MP4 on the newer additions. Still, the clips are generally quite short in length and sometimes there are a couple parts for downloading instead of having one file for the whole video. The quality varies for both the videos and the pictures with generally lower to average quality screen captures serving as pictures.

Minor Negatives:

Videos always initially open with the Flash stream. It's only from that page that the downloading links are available.
The model index is text-only without thumbnail previews of the models. The keyword search actually does bring up thumbnails so there's no reason they couldn't be included on the model index too.
There are some upsells in the member's area mostly for othere paysites.

The other

Mr. Skin's is different from many other celeb porn sites. The content revolves around nude scenes from mainstream movies/films and TV. This isn't the place for sex tapes or paparazzi type material.

Bottom Line

Mr. Skin is an excellent source for celebrity nude scenes/apperances from film & TV.

The scope of the collection is Mr. Skin's biggest strength but I also think that overall the content formatting and site design are well done as well. For celebrity sites that often isn't the case so those things stand out. This is one of those sites that accomplishes their stated goal about what they have to offer and it remains the go to site for this type of celebrity collection.
