Maleflixxx.tv is up for review today, and this is a gay hardcore PPV site that runs pretty true to what you'd expect from them. They offer up a ton of DVDs (over 7,000 it seems), and you can then rent scenes or movies for either 24 hours, or five days. To rent a scene for 24 hours will usually set you back $3-$4 or so, which can definitely add up. The only way to get it cheaper is to buy larger blocks of credit at a time - so $70 will buy you $100 worth of credit for instance. From there, find your pleasure, and open your wallet!

Tons of content up.
As with most any DVD site out there, you expect a lot of material. With over 7,300 full DVDs online right now, each with several scenes of course, I don't think you'll get bored too quickly here at all. Then again, you don't have access to them until you rent them, but the size still helps the variety here for sure.
Decent search setup.
It's a little confusing at first, and could be streamlined, but there are some decent options there. You can use all sorts of filters from models, to studios, to categories, and start narrowing the content down from there. I wouldn't mind a master search page with all categories listed that lets you just start ticking off boxes that you like, but at least they have up what they do.
Streaming players are pretty cool.
They actually offer three streaming player types - Silverlight, WMV, and Real Video. For some reason, I didn't see the WMV option in Firefox, but it shows up in IE. From there, there are several quality levels, or you can let the browser/site figure everything out automatically. There are also two filmstrip navigation areas, depending on which player you choose, which are cool as well.

Could get expensive quick.
They charge a little differently than some other PPV sites, and it could add up pretty quickly. Here, you rent by scene (which isn't abnormal of course), compared to some sites that charge you by the minute, or second. Once you rent it here, it's yours for the duration, whether you like it or not. Assuming you jack off once a day, and get lucky at $3 a pop, you're still spending almost $100 for the month, and you have nothing to show for it in the end except dozens of nasty tissues.
Quality isn't great.
I checked out all the options and made sure I was on the highest quality level, but they just don't look that good. There's pretty sever compression artifacts seen here, and it's the same no matter which player you choose. I don't think it helps that many of the DVDs are 10 years old or so, but the quality is definitely lower than I was hoping for.
A few major site issues in Firefox/Real Player.
First, part of it is my fault. I have a new computer and have no installed Real Player yet (you just never really have to use it these days). I tried switching to the Real stream, and then the problems started. Since it wasn't installed, I couldn't switch back to Silverlight or an automatic selection, and I was basically forced to install the Real Player (even after going to the main "settings" menu area to change it back - weird). After installation and a restart, it STILL didn't work in Firefox. On top of that, I couldn't stay logged in to the site anymore at this point. I entered my password 5-6 times, some of which would log me in, but on the next page, I was a guest again. Sometimes, it wouldn't even accept my credentials. I switched to IE after that, where things got a little better.
Minor Negatives:
- They offer both categories and themes to choose from, and I have no idea what the difference is in either (couldn't Asians be in both?). I'd combine these, and then add a bunch more to get that list as long as possible.
- The content and updates are not dated here. I'm pretty sure they update pretty regularly, but I have no idea the frequency or size.
- Of course, there are no downloads here, as you're renting the videos and they are streaming only.
- The design of the site is pretty plain, and makes the site feel very dated overall. I think an overall refresh there would give them a much better feel from the get go.

Pretty typical fare for a PPV site, though I think the site and videos could be better.
There's not much a PPV site like this can do to set themselves apart from the crowd. A lot of them are pulling from the same DVD sources, so most of the content will overlap in some places. Price is another area, but I don't think they're on the low end here for pricing. Quality would be another, but the quality here is definitely on the lower end of things. The site feels dated as well, though the search features are decent at least. With older content and a bland site, the feeling from the get go isn't a great one. I'd look for a redesign, and then somehow an upgrade to the video quality to really do better here.
