Intro

Hegre Art is a softcore glamour photography site by photographer Petter Hegre and its tagline is 'Excellence in Nudes'. Petter is a professional photographer and the site fits that mold as he has a collection of beautiful women from all over Europe and other parts of the world in stylish galleries and videos. The site has been around since 2002 and is perpetually ranked among TBP's best sites not only in its photography and glamour categories but overall as well.

The Pros

Exclusive Glamour Photography Collection, Sexy European Models.

Hegre's collection features what you would expect from a professional in terms of the quality of models and the settings with a mix of indoor and outdoor locations. There is wide range of countries from Europe where these beauties come from along with other a few from places like USA, Africa, and South America. The content is the type of stuff you could expect in a nude/erotic book or DVD and Hegre does publish such items. I've always felt that the internet makes for a perfect way for photographers like this to get their work out directly to the public without having to go through the step of publication and Hegre is a good example of that.

Large Collection, Years of Photo Archives & Hundreds of Videos.

The track record of growth here is about as well established as you'll see from an adult site. They've been building on the photo and video collection since 2002 non-stop and have built up a huge archive of galleries along with several hundred videos. In terms of sheer numbers the photo galleries are the centerpiece of the site but the videos section is respectable as well and a nice counterpart to the pictures.

Ultra High-Res Quality Content, Lots of Pic Options & Video Format

Hegre has always been among the top tier of websites when it comes to content quality especially photo size and resolution. Images now top out at an impressive 6000 x 4500 and the options include 4000px, 3000px, 2000px, 1200px, and 600px options. All can be viewed online or downloaded as zip files. Videos have moved to HD level for the newer additions as well at 4000k 1280x720. All videos whether they are new or old have many downloadable format offered with WMV, MOV, DivX, h.264, etc. Flash streaming is also available with quick loading and smooth playback.

Professional Site Design, Model Index & Chronlological Photo Archi

The navigation tools in place make sense for this type of collection. Photo galleries are housed in a month/year chronological list and the videos have their own section. A models index has an A-to-Z list that can be further filtered by country of origin or hair color. Individual model pages include some physical stat details and a written summary of the model.

Other Good Stuff:

Clear file size information is posted for each movie format along with a few screenshot preview thumbnails and a written summary.
Updates are made with a new photo gallery each day and videos update weekly.
Members can post feedback/comments on the picture gallery and video pages and there is a nice amount of posts.
Portable content formats are included as members also get access to iHegre.com. These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

Older Shoots Have Fewer Pic Options & Lower Quality Videos.

This is something that is standard for a photography collection of this kind when the archives reach back a number of years. It's worth pointing out that the older photo galleries top out with specs that aren't up to par with the newer additions and there just aren't as may image choices for online viewing or downloadable zips. The older videos have what can be qualified as low specs so the drop-off there is more noticeable than the pictures since Hegre always focuses on having high-res pics while the videos weren't all that impressive back at the site's start.

Could Use Additional Navigation Tools & Search Functions.

Overall the design is solid however there is room for additional features especially considering the sheer quantity of content in place. For instance the models index can only be sub-categorized by country of origin or hair color and there are many other characteristics they could add to that. The videos are only numbered and there aren't any more navigation tools on that. Also, no advanced search/filter tool is available nor are the niche tags on the galleries that would help locate related content.

Minor Negatives:

Unlike the photo galleries the videos are not date-stamped or archived by month/year so films are simply listed by number without specific update info.
Some surfers may not enjoy the repetitve nature of the shoots and/or the background music in the videos.

Bottom Line

An impressive collection of high-res glamour photography content with many years of archives.

For those who enjoy professional glamour softcore Hegre is one of those sites that should be explored. They deliver a big collection of exclusive content with impressive high-res specs and numerous viewing options. There are some items they could improve to enhance the interface however the positives clearly outweigh the negatives by a wide margin and overall Hegre is an excellent website.
