Intro

Watchme.com is up for review today, and it's a bit of a unique site. They take the user-uploaded content concept, and add a PPV twist to it that I'm not sure if I like or not quite yet. Basically they have a large collection of real homemade porn videos that you can view for a per-minute fee. To tell you the truth, I'm not really a fan of either business model usually (PPV, and user-submitted content), but it's brought out some better content here than I'm used to seeing. There's no membership fee, but you will pay per minute of course, and an average $26 package will get you 120 minutes of viewing time.

The Pros

Lots of videos up.

There are about 6,000 videos online by our guess, which is a lot of content to check out. Granted, some of the videos are on the short side, but there's still a lot to see. The list of categories is impressive as well with how much variety they have.

Videos are better than expected.

Usually these user-submitted sites have the same crap over and over, but I think the prospect of getting paid has people doing a little better job overall here with their homemade porn.

You can join the action too!

If you're so inclined, you can make some videos, upload them, and try to make some cash as well. There's a huge British focus here, so I'm not sure what they'd say to uploaders from outside of that region, but it's fun to get involved when possible.

Other Good Stuff:

The categories are a definite must have here that helps you sort through the content quite a bit easier.
Some live webcam action is included too, and it looks like you can use your same credits to watch girls there if you choose to do so.

The Cons

Quality can be terrible.

It depends of course, but I swear some of these videos were shot with cell phones or something. There can be times that you're just wasting your money while this blurry video goes on in front of you.

Can get expensive.

As with any PPV site, you have to watch your cash here. Where as most sites give you all-you-can-watch for $20-$30 a month, here that same money will get you just two hours of video. Granted, I think you can see a lot with that time, but it's not the same still.

No downloads.

Of course, this is pay-per-minute here, so don't expect to be able to download anything. All the videos are streaming-only, and they all come only in WMV or Flash from what I saw. No building a collection up here.

Updates are a little slow.

I think it's a bit random, but I was surprised with how much content they already had, how slow updates are actually. They get a new scene about once a week or a little more, but I was expecting multiple daily updates here.

Minor Negatives:

As clean as the site looks, I can't help but feel that it's a bit plain overall. There's a lot of dead white space that is a bit overwhelming.
I personally feel it takes one too many clicks to start a video. They don't give you a ton of extra preview really on the 2nd page, so I'd make it optional.
At times, the site seemed to slow down for a few minutes, and it was pretty unresponsive, but then fixed itself.
There are a few scattered videos throughout the site that don't quite seem legit, but at least the number is minor.

Bottom Line

Better than I'd thought it'd be, if you can afford it.

It's not terribly expensive, but I think overall, you'll spend more here than you will on other sites. What really sucks is having to pay to watch the same video a second time if you ask me. However, the content was a little better than expected compared to other similar sites. There were actual good sex scenes, and fun times. It's not all good, with the quality especially that can be very up and down (mostly down, if anything). But there's a ton to see, and the content can be unique at least.
