I feel like I've heard of Yappo.com, but maybe that's just because of the catchy name? Yappo advertises "adult movies on your terms" with more than 32,000+ movies from 750+ studios and a pay-per-minute fee set-up. There is no monthly membership price so what you see is what you get and you can purchase time packages starting from 25 minutes for $4.83 (about $.19 cents per minute) to 850 minutes for $68.86 (about $.08 cents per minute). Seeing as each movie can be anywhere from 50 minutes to 200 minutes in length, your best option is probably closer to the 280 minutes for $28.84, which averages to about $.10 cents per minute. Another option offered is a 7 or 30 day download for $7.95 or $14.95. Aside form the large archive of movie content, Yappo has some of the biggest studio names in the industry going for them, including: AdamEve, Legend, Wicked, Red Light District, Devils Films, Silverstone, Hustler, and more.
The Good:
- Yappo is one humongous archive of DVD content and anywhere from 8 to 30 new titles are being added Monday through Friday (it seems). Your pay per minute options run from 25 minutes, 50 min, 90 min, 120 min, 280 min, 420 min, 620 min and up to 850 minutes. There are so many full-length DVD titles to check out from some of your biggest name studios and hottest pornstars.
- The site design is fully dynamic offering a keyword search & advanced search feature, niche, studio and pornstar browsing, preference settings, purchase histories, favorites and more. All of the movie content lists and cross-links information like: length, category (niche), performer, studio, etc. Most videos can be streamed in full or by scene and a list of alternate movie selections are listed below.
- Videos are offered as streams from dial-up connection speeds to HD format video as high as 1500k - 2000k. In general, the video quality looks very nice. When it comes to download, well that will cost you extra, and your 2 options are either for 7 days or 30 days.
The Bad:
- Not all of the videos listed are available as streams. Some of the videos they have listed are 7 or 30 day downloads only, which means if you want to have access to them, instead of using your pre-paid minutes, you'll have to dish out another $7.95 for 7 days or $14.95 for 30 days. These are basically rentals and with an already costly set-up, it's somewhat of a bummer and misleading for them to make even a few titles download (rental) only.
- Ultimately none of the content here can be downloaded to your hard drive and viewed at your leisure anyway, which can be a deal breaker for some.
- Pay per minute can be very costly and even if you buy the largest number of minutes (package), you're still paying as much as 8 cents per minute.
The Conclusion:
Overall I found Yappo to be a very user-friendly and straightforward pay per minute video site. Obviously if you're watching your wallet this is not the best option for you, but if you're looking for a large video site and only care to PPV movie titles anyway, then the selection and quality here is worth checking out. This isn't the largest PPV site out there, but I think it might be the most user-friendly with some nice streaming options and browse features. I did find a video here and there that required the rental up sell in order to view which I find misleading, but I've found that's pretty standard for these types of sites. IF it were up to me I'd save my money for a quality video site with unlimited downloads and no DRM, but all in all Yappo delivers on its promise for a large, user-friendly PPV movie site.

Yappo.com continues to yap away and it appears as though anywhere from 2-40+ new titles are being added daily. With so much content, it’s super hard to tell exactly how many videos are being offered in total, but it's a lot. With that said, there's still no escaping the high pay-per-view prices here, but the quality and user options are equally as impressive, still hovering in the 1500k-2000k range. Yappo remains to be a very nice site for PPV fans, but it's a little too expensive for my tastes.
Score increased from 82.5 to 84.0.
