XXX Adult Centro is up for review today, and this is pretty much a standard DVD mega-site with all the usual suspects. They feature a lot of content, large daily updates, and a huge variety of porn. Of course, the content isn't exclusive, so it'll share a lot of material with other similar sites. What it comes down to, then, are things like price, features, and all the extras to help your site stand out from the crowd. $30 here gets you in the first month, but that jumps to $40 if you decide to stick around, which seems very backwards to me.
The Pros
Huge collection.
Gotta love these DVD sites! There's just a shitload of content, especially if you compare it to most paysites you've probably seen. They have over 9,000 DVDs online here, all with around five scenes each. If you're not too picky with your porn, you shouldn't get too bored here.
Large daily updates.
Again, this one is just as expected, but it's great to see nonetheless. This past week has brought us 77 new DVDs to the site, which works out to 11 full DVDs per day on average. They don't call them mega-sites for nothing, I guess.
The Cons
Navigation could be better.
They have the basics here, but never really go beyond that in terms of options or features for navigation. You can browse by DVD or scene, by date, by category, by model, or title. However, there's no advanced search setup to really get things going. You're stuck just doing a single search at a time which doesn't really cut it for a site like this in my opinion.
Quality is just okay.
They're kinda stuck with the material they get here, but it feels just a little behind the times in terms of quality, even for a DVD site. It's pretty close overall, to the competition, but with so many HD sites and all coming out these days, the quality is becoming a small issue here.
Non-exclusive material.
They have many of the same DVDs you can find on most of the other DVD sites out there. So there's a good chance you've seen at least some of this material before. The big numbers should make it so that you can hopefully find new scenes rather easily, but this is another big problem for a site like this.
Minor Negatives:
This site is on the expensive side at $30 a month. And even worse, the price goes up if you decide to stick around, which is the total opposite of what we're used to seeing.
The streaming buffer was a little slow to get started fro me at times, which is weird since their download speeds were normal enough.
Bottom Line
All the basics are here, but I think they kinda fail in terms of the extras and pricing.
The DVD mega-site market is a tough one to crack, namely because there are so many similar sites out there, some of them quite good. XXX Adult Centro covers the basics well enough, but they don't really excel in the areas they need to, unfortunately. They have a lot to see, update daily with lots of content, etc. But so does their competition. Their price is higher than most, the navigation and features are rather weak, and I just don't see a very compelling reason to join this site over the others. It's definitely not bad as you get a lot here, but the site itself was just too basic to compete.
