X on Demand is a pay per view video site that offers thousands of movies streaming to your computer in just about every genre you could dream up. The tour and member’s area are basically the same, you just have to pay to view the actual movies, so you can get an excellent idea of exactly what they offer and if it suits your needs without paying a dime (and you’re going to want to save those dimes since ppv sites are notoriously pricey).
The Goods –
They’ve got a huge collection of movies! I saw a few different numbers as I toured the site but it’s got to be around 20,000 full length movies. At around 90 minutes long a piece, that works out to a heck of a lot of porn. Having such a large collection also lets them offer a wide variety of categories and niches. They have just about all the major and minor niches available.
The video quality is pretty good. The Windows Media option for the movies plays at 1100k and looks nice and sharp. You can definitely watch them at full-screen.
They’ve got some useful browse features for navigating this large collection. To begin with, you can view all the genres and sub-genres (from Dildo you can view Dildo + Orgy, Dildo + Blowjob, etc). You can do a keyword search for specific titles, stars, directors, or studios and you can also click on that information on a video’s profile page to view more movies with that star or studio. You can view the most watched or stick to those you’ve saved in your favorites folder. The design isn’t the flashiest but they’ve got some solid features for getting around.
The Bads –
This is an expensive set-up. At twelve cents a minute, a single movie will cost you about $10 to view. That’s more than you’d pay to rent a movie at a local store and at least then you could watch the movie over and over again. That’s also significantly more than you’ll pay on any number of other video sites that may offer the same exact movies, even for download! If you come here knowing exactly what you want to see, then you might get away with paying less than you would on a site with a typical membership set-up. If you’re just coming to browse some movies, though, you could end up paying a lot more.
There are no update dates provided so I can’t say for sure how often new videos are added. There is a link to “Made Live Today” which suggests they may update daily but I can’t be sure.
The viewing options for the videos weren’t as strong as I expected them to be. You do have a choice of Real of Windows, but the Real video quality tops out at 500k and doesn’t compete with the 1100k Windows option. I was also surprised to see only full-length videos with no choice of clips or scenes. With 90 or so minutes of video, it would be nice to be able to jump directly to a specific spot in a movie (cumshot or particular star’s entrance) without having to waste precious time scrolling through your streaming video.
Conclusion –
X on Demand makes a strong showing within the pay per view field. They’ve got a huge collection and the videos look good. When you stack them up against traditional membership sites, though, the high pricetag takes its toll. If you’re jonesing for a particular movie, X on Demand probably has it so it’s worth a join for that. On the other hand, if you’re just wanting to browse some random porn movies, there are cheaper alternatives.

It's been two years since our last visit to X on Demand and since then the site has grown from 20,000 DVDs to over 58,000. That is a simply massive collection. Though no update dates are provided, clearly the site is still growing at a very good rate. Video quality is up since our last visit, with the wmvs I watched playing at 1700k. They look good, but they could still be better. Getting around the site remains quite easy, which is impressive considering the size. All in all this is a good site, you just have to be willing to pay a lot for access to their huge archive.
