While the name Xisty doesn't do much for me as far as what the site contains, the fucking hot chicks on the front page do a lot better than a site title ever could. The site is all about the work of a single photographer (though you don't get much info about him/her) who travels the world shooting what looks like high-quality content (specifically they mention Prague, Budapest, Spain, Brazil, and more). It mostly features solo sets, though hardcore and lesbian shoots have been introduced recently as well. $25 will get you a monthly membership, so let's jump inside and see what's going on exactly.
The goods:
- Quality is pretty good all around. Pictures look the best of anything in my opinion, which isn't usually the first thing I look for in today's video-crazed world. The videos look decent as well, though they weren't quite as captivating as the photos were (high-definition would be awesome to see though). Check out the "super zip" files for 3000x???? goodness for the best bets.
- Content is semi-exclusive. It looks like a single photographer takes all these photos obviously, the only rub in exclusivity is that they have sold their content to a couple of other sites, thereby lowering the value here just a little bit.
- Updates come daily. All five weekdays they add a new photoset, and then each of the two weekend days gets a new video as well. Xisty seems to be a photography site first, so the schedule makes decent sense, and I'm glad they put up as many videos as they do.
- Nice site (design, nav, options) all around. I was generally impressed all around with the site itself as well. It looks good, they provide a few different ways to browse, and they also have a few different download options for content too. They're missing a few features, but overall they offer more than most sites which is a nice surprise.
The bads:
- Another video type would be nice. One downfall here is the one video type they offer (WMV). While it's my personal choice for videos, understandable some people don't like it or can't use it. Adding a DivX or MPG option would be a great next step, since they do so well in all the other option categories.
- A search feature would help. Sure you can browse by model or chronologically, but a nicely-done search feature would take it to the next level. Finding a blonde with small boobs and a toy would just make my day right now, and it's pretty hard to do that with the current setup.
- Not all photos contain full-size images. They're "super size" 3000x???? images are only available on the most popular sets, and even then I'm not sure how often those are updated. There haven't been any new additions this year yet in this area (and we're coming up on the middle of February). I was glad to see them separated out though, making them easy to find.
Conclusion:
Overall, Xisty was better than expected I'd say. They're missing some random features here and there that would really set them apart, but I was pretty impressed with the site. I liked the content pretty well, the site is well-done, and the updates are coming about as much as you can ask for. This is one to watch, and should be on your hot list if you like hot babes and photography.
