The Wild Rose Network is up for review today, and it's one of the oldest collection of amateur sites put into a network that I know of. The site is anchored by long-time amateur Carol Cox, and I believe the network was put together by her husband. Since its inception, many of the amateur sites here have pretty much ceased operations, though you can always check out what they already have to offer. Others are newer and still active and updating, which is good to see. The network itself looks pretty identical to how it did last time I saw it several years ago. A membership will cost you $20 a month, but that can vary depending on which site you join from.
The Pros
Lots of content up.
With so many sites put together, it adds up to a pretty decent collection overall. I have no idea how much content there is here, but it's a pretty good size no doubt. Carol's site alone is huge.
Exclusive amateur material.
The main benefit here is just the type of content they offer, and of course it should be all exclusive. I think these sites basically merge their own member's area into the network at times, and they don't put the content up anywhere else.
Other Good Stuff:
It's tough to tell which sites are active without going through one by one, but there were a couple with recent update dates which was awesome to see.
The price is decent for all the sites you get access to here.
The Cons
Quality needs work.
It's always the case with homemade amateur sites that the quality will suffer a bit. Add in the fact that many of these sites are several years old, and it takes it to another level. Most videos are quite small, and most content suffers from poor lighting. Because so many sites and photographers are involved here, it varies from one set to the next, but overall, it needs work.

For how many sites there are here, there are quite a few of them that are very small. This is especially true in terms of the video counts, which can be under five at times.
Minor Negatives:
Many of the sites don't offer any dates for their content, so you have no idea how old they are. Some have months, but no years, but it still can be obvious that they aren't recent.
The look and feel of the site(s) can be dated. They're simple and clutter-free, but they also lack a lot of the options we're used to seeing these days.
The viewing options just aren't that good here. At best, you might find two picture sizes, but no zip files, no video options, no streaming videos, etc.
More interaction would help in the form of cam shows, blogs, etc.
Bottom Line
Decent content here, but it's starting to show its age.
You can't argue with the content that the Wild Rose Network offers here. There's lots of exclusive content from real amateurs, and that's tough to come by. My main issue comes with the age here, as it affects a few different areas. The quality isn't up to par, both in the photos and videos. The design and navigation are a bit simple, too. Then, you just miss out on interaction or updates from dead sites. There are some sites that update, but many don't, and that's a tough sell for me. Overall, come for what they already have, and consider anything new and exciting as a huge bonus. The price isn't bad, but I'd look for some upgrades before I stuck around for a real long time.
