Intro

Wicked Pictures is one of the more well-known porn studios as they have been around for years. Most users will recognize the name and with that comes a certain expectation about the content their site should offer. They meet my expectations as they have a sharp looking site with a content collection that revolves around their downloadable DVD movies and scenes. Photos are available on a lot of the movies as well as secondary or supporting content.

The Pros

Wicked DVD Movie Content, Entertaining Studio Collection.

Wicked is old school in the sense that they shoot porn movies with dialogue and plots. This is unlike most of the gonzo style internet porn and what we see coming from a lot of studios now. Fans of Wicked's style will enjoy this collection. They have newly released titles and them movies that span that last couple of decades back to the early 1990's. At the time of this review there are over six hundred full length DVDs which translates to over three thousand individual scenes. Photo content is also offered although it's the movies that are clearly the centerpiece of this site.

Full-DVD & Individual Scene Downloads, HD Newer Movies.

Most movie download sites offer individual scene downloads which is the case here but they go the extra step of having full-DVD files as well. It seems to be a consistent choice across the board. The options for both scenes and full-movies are MP4 for downloading and in-browser Flash streaming. The MP4 newest updates include HD levels that can be up to 1920x1080 6000k. Good to see a studio like this move into HD quality and they do tag/mark the HD scenes.

Sharp Site Design, Update Log & Model Index.

Wicked has professional looking site that suits a studio like this. The member's area allows for browsing by individual scene or DVD and when you're on one of those pages you can toggle back and forth between the two for both viewing/download options. There is a model index that can be sorted by popularity, name, or most viewed and many girls have biographies. Updates are logged on the member's home page and movies are date-stamped throughout the collection.

Other Good Stuff:

There is a dedicated Behind-the-Scenes section with a good sized collection of videos there. That's the type of thing you like to see from a single-studio site like this.
Members can post feedback and comments on the scenes. There is some good activity on this feature.
Clear file size information is posted on the downloads. This is really useful since there's great variation between individual scene vs. full-DVD files and HD vs. SD.
Photos are available on a lot of the scenes. They have both online photos and zip files along with a slideshow viewer.

The Cons

Quality Varies, Most aren't HD, Could Use Additional Formats.

While the site has moved to offering HD quality videos on the newer additions the majority of scenes are in standard-def only. Additionally the MP4 is the single video format they offer so there's room for additional options and I kind of expected more since this is a studio and movie based site. The older movies from previous decades are lower level and grainier which is to be expected.

Minor Negatives:

Some models in the index don't have any biographical information. There are also some with no preview thumbnail image.
There are hundreds of total movies but I'm not sure what percentage of Wicked's archive this constitutes. I'd like to see them cram this site full of more titles new and old.
There are some member's area ads and upsells like banners for other paysites and DVD sales.

The other

Condoms are usually used. There is background music in some scenes.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.
Wicked has Twitter, Facebook, and Google accounts linked to from the member's area.

Bottom Line

Wicked's official site has a large archive of their movies spanning from present day back thru the 1990's.

On their site a studio like Wicked should provide a big ol' archive of their titles and that's what is available here. They have a few extra features that enhance the value like HD newer videos, older "vintage" titles, and a section dedicated to behind-the-scenes action. There option to download by scene or full DVD is a useful little item as well. I guess what I would like to see is more info about their full library and what titles are or aren't included here. Overall though they have a solid site going and it's particularly well suited for surfers who prefer fully developed movies with plots and cheesy dialogue. Wicked still shoots their movies in that way which is unlike so many other studios and sites where it's just the gonzo style banging that has really taken over the industry.
