When I first arrived at Wetlands.com my initial reaction was that this was definently an amateur site. The simple design and emphasis on "real wives" leaves no false impression that this is some corporate "fake" website trying to impersonate an amateur character, but rather a good old fashioned ma and pa porn site. And ma and pa it certainly is! Wetlands is run by JD and Cbaby, a husband and wife team from Pennsylvania who pride themselves on running "The Largest, Most Successful, Non-Corporate Adult Website in the World." Although from humble roots, Wetlands has grown to incredible proportions and has even been profiled on Dateline and Hardcopy and appeared in such varied publications as Penthouse and The Washington Post.
Upon entering the member's area, I felt momentarily overwhelmed. The lengthly text and numerous arrows and blinking buttons briefly disoriented me, but it only took a second for me to blink, scroll and notice the well organized menu at the bottom of the member's index. I was pleased to see that the images were categorized. In a site as large as this, well thought out navigation is a must. The categories made it easy to jump from Bikini Babes to Lesbian to Young Wives, a few of my personal favorite subsections ;) Some of the wives are browsable by name (those who participate in Wetpartners, which is basically an area for webmistresses who want to run their own small amateur site within Wetlands) and the rest can be found by visiting their applicable category. Here is where you will also find video links, as well as links to the many other segments of the site including several active message boards, a toy store, customer service, faqs, stories, and panty and video purchase opportunities. If I had to choose one word to describe this navigation it would be simple. There are no fancy search features; Just unornamented text links taking you exactly where they say they will.
There is a lot of variation in picture quality. Some photos are quite crisp and clear and come in at a resolution of 800x600. Others, particularly those taken by Wetpartners, are a bit blurrier and smaller at 600x400. Most of the pictures fall somewhere in the middle of the range. Now keep in mind, these women are not glamourous pornstars. They are normal wives with horny husbands and I'd say most of them are doing this purely for the pleasure of the exhibition experience. It is absolutely refreshing to see some different perspectives on beauty. Forget airbrushed and made up. These women portray a completely natural charm. Expect gallery themes to run the gamut. You'll find non-nude bikini shoots, chained up bondage, mature wives, young wives, ebony wives, interracial, lesbian, outdoors, bjs, anal, and good old sex, just to briefly describe what's inside. I definitely appreciated the variety!
I did have some trouble initially getting the videos to run. After receiving numerous errors, I eventually discovered that I needed to download Windows Media Player 9, as my version 8 apparently didn\'t cut it. Be aware that you must save the videos to your hard drive before they can be viewed. This could be a plus or minus, although personally I prefer to not clutter up my computer with video files, especially videos that left me a little less than impressed. They are amateur in every sense of the word. After a bit of a long download time, I was greeted with fuzzy videos of poorly lit scenes and garbled audio. They do have several hundred videos in addition to webcam archives and a live camshow.
The Wetlands delivers on its promises. Inside the member's area you will find an enormous amount of exclusive images and video of hundereds of amateur women. Although the quality and overall design are lacking, the frequent updates and very reasonable pricing make this site a must-join for any true amateur fan.

It's been two years since we last visited Wetlands and it almost feels like another site altogether. The site has seen a huge redesign making it much more attractive and easier to navigate. There's a search feature, browse options, and more to help maneuver your way around this large collection. With the addition of the forum, chat, and gallery comments, there's more of a community feel to the site than ever. The price has increased from $20 a month to $25, which actually is pretty fair for the size of this site and the fact that much of the material is exclusive. All in all I'm really pleased with the changes to Wetlands. With such a huge collection of original content at their fingertips they really needed a site that reflects the strength of the content. I think they've done just that. I'm bumping up a few of my scores for these welcome changes.
