With a great domain name, Webcams.com should have the market cornered, or at least look like they do. They run a pretty basic cam site of course, with a decent number of girls online (468 models on currently), on an otherwise standard site. Their software is a little unique, which we can talk about later of course. You pre-pay for packages of credits, which can get a little cheaper if you buy a large quantity it sounds like. Most girls charge $3 a minute, and this is not private chat as anyone else can come inside as well.
The goods:
- Lots of models online. At 480 people online now, this obviously isn't a mom and pop site with 20 girls on at most. Browsing through the list, there are very few guys here, which surprised me. But thankfully there should always be someone to hang out with and give your money away to.
- Cam software is unique at least. I'm not sure if it's their own, or if they purchased it, but it gets the job done. Their cam, your cam (if desired), and the chat are all in one interface. You can change the video size on the fly (which makes it look crappier), and even deposit money into your account pretty easily. They also have a tip feature built in, but I say you pay them enough as it is.
The bads:
- Quality needs work. Considering the software is unique, I was surprised the quality wasn't better. I'd say it's slightly below par compared to the normal cam sites out there, especially if you try to enlarge it (which can be done on other sites without it looking so much worse).
- Site is pretty plain. They don't even have a logo, and really don't make any effort to put out a nice presence for themselves. The site gets the job done with a few different ways to browse, but it's not winning any points in terms of looks.
- A little more expensive than some. $3 a minute is pretty middle of the road actually, but let it be known that cheaper cam sites are out there (as are $6 a minute crazies as well).
- No separation of available girls. They either have "available" written in green text, or "in XXX chat" in red text listed above them, but who's reading the words? I hated clicking on a girl in the top row, only to see that she's in a private show already, and I couldn't check out her current cam situation in free chat. I say put an option on to only show the available girls.
Conclusion:
Webcams.com is good enough here. There's a lot to see, the site is at least on par with others, and you should get your groove on. I'd say they could do better with what they have, especially in terms of the site, and the quality. What site doesn't have issues though I guess? It's a nice choice due to the size alone, and should be on your short list of cam sites to browse through when ready to part with some cash.
