Many of you out there in porno land are already familiar with the brand name Vivid Video. They are a key player in the adult film industry and house such models as Savanna Samson, Briana Banks, Chasey Lain, with many more appearing in some of their videos. In fact, no video store would be complete without a good portion of the walls being filled with the Vivid Video collection. At Vivid.com, they claim to be the “home of the hottest pornstars in the world”, offering over 400,000 pictures and, more importantly, over 500+ videos of some of your favorites! Now that’s a lot of content, and for the low, low price of $9.97/month. Need I say more?
Okay well I guess I should go over the content at least a little bit:). Everything here is conveniently organized into 9 main sections including: behind the scenes, outtakes, and bloopers; Vivid girls; Vivid videos; Vivid photos; Vivid live sex; Vivid bonus content; Vivid webcasts; Vivid for women only; Vivid AIM and screensavers. As you can tell, there’s plenty to keep you busy here, especially since several updates are made around 4 times per week. Something annoying to point out that will keep you busy here as well is the amount of time it takes for any one of the pages of this site to load, it’s almost painful!
The Vivid photos section is further broken down into several different parts: Vivid girl galleries, behind the scenes, movie pix archive, and bonus galleries from the works of Penthouse photographer Earl Miller. As you can see, a few of the main sections are included in this section. The girls are listed in alphabetical order, and each one’s content is broken down by hardcore pics, softcore pics, and videos, however, the image size and quality is often disappointing. A ton of the images here are on the small side, with newer ones still only being 800x600 in size, at best. You’ll find your average porn stars here, fucking and sucking away, it’s too bad the images are so small.
Since this is Vivid after all, I am expecting a bit more from the videos. And they do deliver, these are full length movies, some of which are over an hour long, and there are over 500 of them—now that’s a lot of hardcore porno action! You can search through them by Vivid star or by title, and each one comes complete with a movie preview, photos, and often times some behind the scenes photos. Videos are offered in both high speed and low speed in Windows Media, Real Player, and QuickTime. They play in a new browser window, 640x480 in size, though, there is the option for full screen but I don’t think you’ll be using it much. The high speed videos only stream as high as 350k, while the low speed ones stream as low as 50k. Depending on your internet connection, I think most people should be okay watching the high speed ones. This is probably the best part of the whole site, and though they only play in your browser window, you’re sure to find some of your favorite Vivid Video titles available.
There’s just a ton of extras here as well including feeds, plug-ins, bonus images, live chat, etc., most of which will be used to simply keep you company between updates, or simply for a change of pace. For only $10 bucks a month, this site is easily affordable for that that is has. The pictures are worth checking out, but are only going to take away from their score in this case since they size and quality of them simply isn’t up to par. The videos on the other hand, though you are forced to play them in your browser window and the quality is good but not much better than average, are the real gems here since there are simply so many full length ones to choose from—that’s over 500+ hours worth of jack off material—enjoy!

Whoa! This looks new! Seems as though Vivid's got themselves a brand spankin' new site design goin' for them in the member’s area. As a whole it looks a bit cleaner, but the way in which content is browsed doesn't appear to have changed all that much, with the main change being the addition of a menu at the top of the page. Unfortunately, though, probably the biggest downside to the whole site (the fact that the videos here can't be downloaded), still holds true. Really, there's just been a major repackaging done to the content here which stands to be pretty much the same as it did the first time around. In the end, I think my score is still a fair one, site re-design and all.
Score remains at 78.3.

You've all heard of Vivid, right? But of course! Your specially reduced pricetag of only $9.95 per month now gives you access to more than 750,000+ images and close to 700+ of their great videos. Of course, they already had an enormous archive of content, just now it's even larger. You still can't download and save any of this great material though, and I'm hoping that someday they'll start adding bigger images and higher quality video downloads, but for now Vivid.com remains you best bet for everything Vivid.
