With a title like VIP Cams you'd expect a straightforward live cam show site but actually this one is a bit different than that. They actually have monthly memberships and quite a bit of additional content like recorded shows to go along with live webcam chat shows. The guest tour does a pretty good job of providing a snapshot of what member's get.
The Goods:
- Blend of Live Cam & Recorded Show Content. Indeed the member's area is broken up into a couple different sections with one dedicated to Live Chat and a separate Content section for additional content. The Live Chat area is straightforward with online models for free group chat and available for PPV private shows. Generally there seem to be a couple dozen models online at a time with many more in the offline database as is standard for live show sites. The Content section has archived shows that are included for members plus there are all kinds of picture galleries too.
- Clean Design, Easy to Use Cam Interface. Overall the design is easy to figure out and the different sections are clearly laid out. All the necessary components are there with pages for online/offline models and a schedule for upcoming performers. The additional content is broken down with a video section and niche sections for the pictures. The cam/chat interface for the free and private shows is simple even for a non-techie like me.
- Daily "Event" Shows w/ Good Schedule. Basically these seem like specialty highlighted shows available to members. The features jumps out because it's kinda special and it's showcased on the member's home page. Based on the upcoming shows at the time of my review they seem to have one of these daily which isn't bad at all.
The Bads:
- Schedule Info & Vid Content Varies Per Model. Online versus online models is something that's an issue on the majority of live cam sites. The number of online models here is usually a couple dozen which puts it on the small side in terms of variety. The individual model pages include each performer's schedule and extra pic/vid content. It's hit-and-miss as some models have this stuff while others have little or nothing of either.
- Slow Video Buffering & Downloading. This mostly applied to the recorded shows and additional video content. The files initially stream in-browser and from there can be downloaded. The streaming had quite a lengthy buffer before playing and occasionally buffered again in the middle. The download speed wasn't very impressive for me either.
- Monthly & Per-Minute Price Structure. To get the full experience here membership is set up with an initial monthly pricing structure and from there the private per-minute shows are pay-per-minute. The per-minute rates are on the mid-high range and so the overall cost adds up here.
Conclusion:
What makes VIP Cams a bit different from most other live cam sites is definitely the combo of recorded content along with the live shows. This comes into play with the membership options too with the monthly fee and then pay-per-minute private shows. Other than that for the most part VIP Cams has pretty much what I have come to expect from a live cam site in terms of amount of performers online and show interface. The entertainment value from any given show will depend on the girl you're involved with and the individual interaction with her. That's always so subjective on these cams show sites due to the various number of performers.
