Vintage Taboo presents “Classic vintage porn for the Connoisseur.” Their unique collection of erotica dates back to the 1890s and runs up to the 1970s. The lacey garters of the 20’s, the full coverage lingerie of the 50’s, and the wildly natural nude of the 70s are all here to enjoy.
The Goods –
The content here is really unique and provides an interesting look at porn through the years. It’s cool to see how standards of beauty have changed over time. The pre-1920s women were much curvier than the women of the 1960s and 70s. Hair removal has also gone back and forth. I can only imagine what people will say when they look at today’s porn a 100 years from now.
I had no trouble getting around the site. The photos are separated by era and then divided into categories like cheesecake, fetish, hardcore, spanking, etc. There’s a burlesque section, a section on “Native Girls”, and a good sized video section. It’s a simple but effective set-up.
The site is pretty good-sized. There are currently over 12,000 photos and 100 video clips. It’s rare to find that many movies on a site like this. Updates come frequently, five days a week, so it’s no wonder the site is as large as it is.
The Bads –
Content quality varies a lot. That’s certainly understandable. A 100 year old photo that is scanned in can’t possibly compete with today’s digital standards. That should be understood coming into a site like this. However, do keep it in mind that there is a good amount of black and white and grainy photographs.
The site design is pretty plain. I appreciate that it’s clean and they’ve got some text graphics, but the gray background and black text didn’t exactly get my pulse racing. The lack of user features, like video viewing options, was also disappointing.
Conclusion –
Vintage Taboo is a solid site for anyone looking for something a little bit different. Overall, the content looks good considering its age and there’s enough to enjoy for a while. It’s a good mix of softcore and hardcore action that I found quite entertaining. The price is fair at $30 a month. Definitely some oldies but goodies here!

Since our last visit to Vintage Taboo a year ago, the site has grown to include 13,000 pictures and 200 videos, an increase of about 1,000 photos and 100 videos, not bad thanks to updates that come 5 days a week. The minor complaints I had before about the plain design and the different levels of quality still hold true. Those really are minor grievances, though, for a site in this genre. Quality is acceptable considering the niche. All in all, I enjoyed Vintage Taboo and think it remains an intriguing collection that shows just how far porn has come.
Score increased from 74.5 to 76.5.
