Video Hub is a DVD download site that lets guest browse the site just as members see it. Before joining you can check out their movie library and also see how the navigation works. In my opinion this is the most effective way for movie sites to set themselves up. It certainly makes my life as a review easier, I don't have to try to describe what they have to offer - you can simply see for yourself.
The Goods:
- Nice Quality Hardcore DVDs. Video Hub has hundreds of videos in pretty high quality DivX downloads (and smaller WMV format too). Their niches cover all the popular ones plus clicking on "more niches" brings up a decent list of micro-niches. There are even some that you don't see on competing sites like short haired, double anal, fucked by the pool, etc. Some might only have a few videos but at least they go through the steps of providing these for members.
- Clean Layout & Browsing Options. I alluded to this in my opening but I'll throw out a few more details now. The design is simple and effective with sections for different niches, most popular, and user favorites. It's also possible to browse by pornstar or studio and there's a keyword search too. I like that there are 3 screenshots per scene plus a trailer and more screen shots for those who want to see more before downloading.
- Good Monthly Price. The cost here is really reasonable considering it's a nice sized movie download site.
The Bads:
- Non Exclusive Content. Nothing they can really do about this. It's just what you get when the site revolves around DVDs from porn studios. Like I said earlier you can browse the collection before joining to make sure they have scenes that you're looking for.
- Updates Aren't Dated. This is one thing that could use improvement. A "recent add-on" page is offered with the most current 20 DVDs but I'd prefer to see an update page with specific dates provided. The tour says new DVDs every week so I'm pretty sure they add stuff regularly. If that's the case I see no reason why they shouldn't be dated.
- Limited Download Options. Things are limited to the full-movie file DivX and WMV formats. There's room for more options here like clips or different quality levels for each format.
Conclusion:
Something else I noticed on the studio listing is that Video Hub's collection is made up of many titles from Anabolic, Legend, and Diabolic studios. It appears they don't include the Red Light District stuff which may be a positive or negative depending on your point of view. So many movie sites over the past few years have used Red Light's stuff that it's interesting to see movie sites that use other studios instead. Video Hub's positives clearly outweigh the negatives which are really just little items I'd like to see improved. Overall it's a nice-sized and reasonably priced site for good quality DVD downloads.

Video Hub now has over a few hundred videos in their collection. The basics of the sites have stayed the same in terms of design and downloading. A couple important items have changed however. The recent add-on updates section is way out of date as of the time of this review (Sept '07). The last new movies are dated way back at the beginning of '07. That is definitely a problem for a movie site like this. Also, I noted in my initial review's closing last time that Legend, Anabolic, and Diabolic are highly represented in the studio list. Now Anabolic and Diabolic are gone with Legend, Dane, Third World, Simon Wolf, and Third World productions making up the bulk of the movies. The entertainment value seems to have been diminished with this change. The smallish size compared the top movie download sites as well as the halted updates do hurt Video Hub significantly.
Score decreased from 82.0 to 79.0.
