The problem with a lot of amateur sites is that the girls running them are just not hot, not to mention the problems of mom-and-pop type sites in general. Horrible designs, bad pictures, and ugly women just don't do it for me unfortunately, from a personal or a review standpoint. Today we get a bit of the opposite in Vanilla Deville. I remember this chick from a site called Vanilla Cam years ago because she was so hot. Now she's got a last name for herself and a fancy-looking site to go along with it.
Obviously they didn't design the site themselves. I actually like the look of the member's area a little more as it's less flashy and more content-oriented. The site costs a standard $20 a month, which is nice to see (I was afraid it'd be higher). The main page features diary entries, which come almost daily. She also lists her latest updates and her upcoming cam show schedule (which look to come once a week on both accounts).
There's a lot of menu options to check out, but I'm going to stick with the basics to keep it simple here starting off. I headed to the photo galleries first, which is where most of the fun should be. She divides them up into a few sections first off: solo, lesbian, hardcore/threesomes, group sex, fetish, and parties/events. From there, you're led to the galleries, which unfortunately don't have a ton of info. There's no dates, and I have no idea which are new or old. Thankfully about half the sections have a "new" label on the first set, so you know where to start. Pictures come in at 800x600, which is also standard for this type of stuff. Quality is a little better than most amateur's pictures. It looks like they use a set of lights or something to help out. For the most part it does help, although there's a few pics here and there with weird lighting problems. Overall, they are clear and colorful. I wouldn't have minded seeing them a little larger, although with the display coming on an HTML page, it would lead to a ton of scrolling (but opening them by themselves would work, or a less-full web page).
Video clips are provided on one long page instead of dividing them up, which leads to a bit of work to find what you're looking for. The newest are up top, which helps. The newest half of the clips offer two Windows Media streaming options, and a downloadable WMV option as well. They use an actual WM server, so it's true streaming. The high-quality option there comes in at 320x240 and 350kbps. The downloadable version is exactly the same. The quality is a little better than most amateur's videos, I think due to the lighting again. It's not fantastic, but it was good enough to enjoy all the hardcore action. Older videos are in MPG format only, and look quite a bit worse.
Vanilla herself does one cam show a week, but you get access to three total cam networks for the in-between times. She also has all the extras that go along with the networks including cam archives, plugins, etc. There's also some promo galleries from other amateurs, wallpapers, stores, and an option to buy private cam time at $4 a minute.
The positives here are that she's been around a while (which means more content), decent-quality content, and access to three cam networks. The downside is that it looks like she just does the minimum requirements of amateur sites these days without much extra. The one thing I saw above and beyond the norms was her diary that's pretty active. Vanilla's pretty damn hot, there's lots of hardcore action, and she provides exactly what you'd expect from an amateur site these days at the price you'd expect.

Holy crap Vanilla is hot. I know I've said it for others, but some of these girls need to be judged only on their looks if you ask me (can we give a 122.5 score out?). Things look pretty good around her site. It's been growing steadily (though I'm not sure when updates are really except for the latest two which are the only ones with dates), which is always good to see. Her cam and diary and still as active as ever which is also great. Sometimes the best sites start sucking because of a lack of updates, but that's not the case here. Her pictures seem to be a little bigger which is nice, especially for the quality they come in. Her videos can also now be seen at 640x480 and 650kbps if you want to stream them, though quality could be improved a little in this section if you ask me. Still a great amateur site here that's definitely worth a look, even if her name is misleading (she's anything but plain).
