Transexual Man is the official site of pornstar Buck Angel. He was named AVN's tranny performer of the year in '07 so he's an established player in the business. The guest tour is a bit of an old-school layout with some splash pages leading towards the join page. His bio is actually inside the member's area but fans are probably familiar with him.
The Goods:
- Buck Does Girls, Guys, & Solo. The site's photo galleries are categorized into Buck with Girls, Buck with Guys, and Buck goes Solo. Although not sectioned off like the pictures the videos feature a mix of action as well including hardcore, shows, solo interviews, etc.
- Pic, Vid, & Interaction Content. There are certain components I look for from an official pornstar site like Buck's. These include pictures, videos, and some sort of interaction with members. The interaction here includes a journal, fan mail, a bio, and webcam shows. He has pretty much covered all the bases the you'd expect.
The Bads:
- Little Vid Info or Organization. The videos are not categorized like the pictures. Instead they're simply posted on one page. No date, scene summary, length, or file size specifics are posted. There are a few additional video sections as well but they amount to feeds, a PPV theater, and a DVD store.
- Avg Vid Quality, Varying Formats. The formats on the videos vary and the quality isn't very impressive. The newer ones do have WMV and MPEG but as you go down the page the options become less and a bottom section have in-browser QT files. Overall the video section on the site is rough-around-the-edges.
- Inconsistent Journal & Cam Shows. The journal is more organized like a collection of articles and there isn't any set schedule for updates. The webcam page simply has a written request to email him for a private show. There's no info about pricing on that.
Conclusion:
As an established tranny performer it's a sure thing that Buck Angel has a lot of fans out there. The site brings together the different types of content you'd expect from an official site while at the same time it doesn't have any one extraordinary feature. Instead he does a decent job at most of the content sections.
