The Pain Files title kind of says it all in terms of what content these guys offer. Ropes and restraints are in play but so are pain implements like clothespins, needles, weights, whips, speculums, wax, etc. In my review experience I've run into all different levels of BDSM fetish sites. Some stay lighter with just the restraints but that's not the case with Pain Files where the focus of the shoots is on more extreme BDSM play.
The Goods:
- Hardcore BDSM/Pain Content. The pictures and videos are divided into sections called "Slavegirls". Each features a specific girl and there's a decent variety in terms of types of girls. There are blondes, brunettes, and a couple Asian slave girls too. The action is extreme as I described in my opening with all sorts of pain tools put to use which is probably the most appealing aspect of the site.
- Some Nice Quality Pics & Vids. Although not totally consistent across the site there are some very nice pictures that are large in size and some high quality videos as well. From what I see they've improved the quality of the content over time so it is a mixed bag with some nicer stuff more recently.
The Bads:
- Average Design & Navigation. The "slavegirl" categorization is okay but I think it would also help if content could be browsed by the type of action, or punishment, if you will. The overall look of the member's are isn't very polished and could be improved upon.
- Inconsistent Vid Options/Quality. Particularly on the videos I see they have evolved over time to where the newer additions are higher quality with clips and full movie files. The collection as a whole however is more inconsistent with some movies having only clips (a varying number per movie).
Conclusion:
The price here seems a bit high considering the amount of content available although the extreme nature is a noteworthy selling point. Updates are done a couple times per week which is okay. When we get back for a follow up I'll also be looking at the content balance since the picture galleries currently outnumber the videos by about a 4:1 ratio. I'm curious if they'll be focusing on getting more movies or if they'll stay with this pattern.

The Pain Files has continued on the same course it was on at the time of our initial review. They continue to offer a solid collection of BDSM/Fetish content in both picture galleries and videos. They've settled in on WMV format for the newer movies which are nice quality and have full-files along with clip segments. There is a section labeled "New Video Archive" with these types of movies and then the other archives have past videos with mostly the AVI format. While there doesn’t seem to be any kind of a set update schedule the member's home page does show steady additions to the site. However as you may guess by the content balance the updates are heavier on pictures than videos. Overall the main points from my initial review still apply the site has more to offer and better video formatting on the newer movies.
Score increased from 75.0 to 77.0.
