Intro

The Bondage Channel has an original collection of bondage/BDSM content on a site that has an amateur and personal feel to it. The way the guest tour is presented is exactly how members see the site as well with the 'Updates' and 'Models' pages as the two main methods of browsing the content. As a guest you can get a good feel for what's available by jumping around those two sections. The 'History' page has a detailed write-up about the site and its founder. The site says it's the "Home for Forced Orgasms" so that's the one specialty area they focus in on beyond the more general BDSM/fetish concept.

The Pros

Exclusive Forced Orgasm Themed BDSM/Fetish Content.

The Bondage Channel's biggest selling point is its exclusive content collection. This is stylish and entertaining stuff from a true fetish enthusiast. I also really like the forced orgasm focus which brings in a specialty beyond BDSM. They mix things up well with different settings and fetish implements. This isn't polished studio stuff but instead it has a great raw or amateur feel that a lot of fetish fans should enjoy.

Nice Amount of Videos/Galleries, Archive Goes Back Years.

The foundation of the collection is built on shoots that included both a video and picture gallery. That means there is a balanced collection with an equal amount of videos and pictures which is a positive. The total number of both reach to about a few hundred and the archives reach back to 2003 which is an impressive track record.

Other Good Stuff:

Updates are steady with an average of 3 additions per week. All content items are date-stamped with updates details showing when they were added to the site.
Newest videos are available in downloadable WMV and MP4 files and in-browser Flash streaming.
Photos are available in zip files (only) for downloading.
There is a 'Models' page which links to the different performers scenes.

The Cons

Most Videos are in Real Player Only, Pics Only in Zip Files.

Video formatting was upgraded in 2009 when they switched to WMV and MP4 however the bulk of the episodes are only in Real Player format. This is quite unusual especially nowadays as there aren't a whole lot of paysites that have this much Real Player stuff on them. Also, the picture galleries are only in the zip files so they're not viewable online.

Average Videos & Picture Quality, Limited Options.

Bondage Channel relies on the exclusivity and entertainment value of their content rather than things like quality and formatting. Even the quality on the newer videos is okay topping out at around 1500k 720x480. The older items that are in Real player have lower specs that drop-off on the older archive items. There aren't any quality choices for the individual formats so things are limited in that regard too.

Minor Negatives:

Navigation is a bit rough and basic. There isn't any way to search or browse by types of action and the models page isn't in any discernable order or have biographies.
Download speeds are fairly average.
Membership requires signing up for a trial membership as there isn't an option for purchasing the monthly billing right off the bat.

Bottom Line

Impressive exclusive forced orgasm BDSM content however the vidoe formatting is a weakness.

Two things really stand out at The Bondage Channel. On the positive side the content itself is a quality personal collection that's likely to be enjoyed by fetish enthusiasts. On the negative side they sure took their time in upgrading the video formatting from Real Player to the more common WMV/MP4. Only a small percentage of the content have these choices and the bulk are only in Real Player. Having the picture galleries only in zip files is also a bit limiting. So basically the content itself is impressive but the delivery could continue to be improved.
