At first I thought the creators of Ten.com (The Erotic Network, whom I'm sure you've heard of before) were so sure of themselves that they didn't even have a tour describing what you get to see inside. I finally realized their "free access" link was actually their tour, I thought I was gonna have to whip out a credit card to get the free access or something :) Either way, the tour doesn't do the site justice. For loading speed's sake, they give you some watered down previews that are entirely too compressed and have big black bars covering everything exciting. For $20, there's no reason not to join and take a look at their offerings!
The goods:
- Lots of videos! They've got videos, TONS of them. If you're into mainstream porn videos, look no further. The quickest way to get to see some action quick is with their latest updates. Today's updates are on the main page of the site, with a little calendar available to check out the past updates.
- Some decent viewing options. The newer videos now offer up version 9 of Real Video, as well as some streaming or downloadable Windows Media offerings. All three have 2-3 quality settings as well. It's not all rosy as videos are basically streaming-only or DRM-protected, but they do give you choices.
- Lots of search categories. I really liked all the different things you can search for on their site way back when, and I still do. They have some very specific niches such as 69 (F to F), mutual masturbation, etc. Unfortunately you can't pin it down more than one category at a time, but they're unique with offering so many choices.
The bads:
- Quality is needing a boost again. The quality hasn't kept pace with other video sites out there anymore. While 500k used to be decent when we did the first revew, even their 1000kbps videos are now lagging a bit compared to some video sites out there. I think they definitely need a large bump up in this category, even if it's for new videos only.
- Basically non-downloadable videos only. They attached DRM to them, so you can only play them for two days before you need a new license (and hence, need to be a member at that time). The other option is their streaming server which is great, but again doesn't give you any longevity.
- Downloads have always been slow for me. They vary a bit from one file to the next even, but I was down at 100KB/sec. for a while here (when I can max out at 1300KB/sec. on a speedy site). A download manager helped, but you don't want to have to do that every time.
Conclusion:
They have a lot of videos here, and it's a decent price. Unfortunately, I think they're losing some gusto since they're staying mostly stagnant in an ever-changing internet world. I'm disappointed to have to do it, but the score will be dropping even more and I sincerely hope next time we're here we can see some positive changes in line.

It's been a while since we've officially looked at Ten.com, but I'll check it out now and again since it's one of the better video sites out there generally. It looks like the quality has been bumped up a little since our last visit (to 1500kbps), and the DRM has been removed from the downloads. Not all the videos are in the higher format, but many of them are. I still love the categories they offer most, though some of them are a little empty (and mis-categorized at times) which is bound to happen. Otherwise, the site seems to be plugging away as usual. I'd say quality could use another bump, and I'm not exactly sure how often they update here. Still, there's some good videos and more unique content than most DVD sites, which I can't complain about.
Score increased from 86.0 to 88.5.
