Tabitha's Toybox is a half amateur / half pornstar site following our chick of the hour, Tabitha, and her crazy adventures. Her initial tour has a pretty professional feel to it. Although I think her and her dude run most of the site, I think they got some help on the front end from someone who knows their stuff :)
Anyhow, inside it looks more like a kids playground with all these letter-block things. It makes the menu on top a little confusing for me, especially on the menu items with bad color choices (the red one is the worst, and the purple isn't much better). Small issue, but a nice, clear menu is always helpful! Otherwise, her main member's page lets you know about her latest updates. The only problem is that the text at the top doesn't jive with the thumbs underneath. The last update was supposed to be about 11 days ago, while the thumb update table says it was about 25 days ago.
Tabitha's own updates seem to be really sporadic. There's a TON of updates on December 11th, and then it skips back to October, September, and August pretty quickly. The promise of twice weekly updates on their page must be with other stuff, as I don't think it's Tabitha's photosets that are updated that often. The lack of updates has led to a small-ish photo section. Regardless, the photos appear to be shot by professionals mostly, as the quality is better than most amateur sites. The only thing this leads to is a big variance in pic sizes/types. She has a little script displaying everything, and she usually offers up two photo sizes. However these are usually pretty small, in the 400x600 and 600x800 range. Out of nowhere, though, some sets offer up much larger images (anywhere up to 1500x1000). The only cool feature here is a slideshow, but sadly there are no zip files.
The videos section is even smaller, with only nine clips available. Basically they are all in Windows Media format, encoded around 200kbps (some much lower). They look barely ok, but nothing special at all. Thankfully there's more hardcore here than in the photo section, which is about the only plus.
She has a journal with about 2-4 entries a month (although she'll miss weeks at a time). The only other things of interest here are the featured girls, which appears to be some higher-end content they buy (or just get from friends in the business I guess), and then her behind-the-scenes stuff is kinda interesting as well. For $25, I don't think it's much worth it, unless you're a huge fan or something. The lack of content is the biggest problem I see. The site looks nice in general, but there just needs to be more interaction, and more stuff to see.

Well, things look a bit too familiar around here. I remember the funny design, and that's still here thankfully (it's fun to laugh at the blocks up top). When you check out her content, you'll see that pictures haven't been updated since May, 2004, and videos stopped updating in February, 2005. Her journal is dead, and her schedule is empty. Things like that can be really cool when you're on top of them, but as you can see you should be careful or it really shows the lack of effort put into the site.
Unless you haven't joined before and are really into Tabitha (or if you just want some generic non-Tabitha content), I don't think I can recommend this one right now. I highly doubt things will turn around later, but you never know. For now, consider this one abandoned and find something else I'd say.

So it's been a little while since we've seen Tabitha, and it looks like she's in the middle of a design update right now. It'll be nice when it's done so that everything flows well again. As far as updates go, it's only a so-so picture. The last few weeks there have been some new videos added, and her diary has been semi-active this year, but there haven't been any new picture galleries in a while. When you're paying monthly, you hope for very regular updates to get your money's worth. The cam shows don't seem to be around still either which hurts compared to other amateur sites. To charge more than other similar sites, I think you need to provide more and that's just not the case here right now. Just updating regularly is what's needed most for now.
