Sweet N Soft is up for review today, and it's made by a company that we've done quite a lot of reviews on. When you get inside the member's area, it's instantly recognizable as one of their sites, and I could probably give you a rundown of the ups and downs that we'll see right away here. Updates come daily, the quality is just okay, all the content is non-exclusive, the video collection isn't huge, navigation could be better, and they may rotate off old videos. How's that for a review? I'll go into more detail here, but most of their sites fall into the pretty average category, so don't expect anything great, but nothing bad either. The great news is the special price of $10 a month they've setup for you.
The goods:
- Great exclusive price here. I think hands down, the best thing going here is the great price of just $10 a month. They give you enough to warrant the price I'd say, including network access to some similar sites. You don't find too many places charging such a low membership fee.
- Updates come daily. Hands down, the second best thing here is the daily updates. Granted I wouldn't mind more video updates here, but four photo updates and a video update over the next five days isn't too much to complain about.
- Download options aren't bad. They offer two picture sizes, zip files, and three quality options for their videos. All their videos are MPG though, which is the only bummer to not have another video type offered.
The bads:
- All non-exclusive content. It definitely hurts them that they don't shoot their own content, especially as their collection isn't huge necessarily (though it's definitely not small either).
- Not as many videos as I'd like to see. They must take old videos off or something, because they just don't have a ton of videos online here unfortunately. Granted they don't update them as often, but you'd think they'd still have more than they do with their current update schedule the way it is.
- Navigation could be a little better. They just basically list everything off in chronological order, which is great to have as an option of course. However, with all the photo galleries they have up, they may need to consider adding some categories, a search, and a model's index here.
Conclusion:
As expected, Sweet N Soft is an okay site for sure, especially with the low price and daily updates. There are some major drawbacks too though, including non-exclusive content and a small video collection. It's weird to have such highs and such lows on a single site, but that's what we've got here. Overall it balances out a bit, and it's not a bad join, though it's definitely not one of my favorite sites either.
